This is an important time in the history of the board. I, J. Allen, your President for Life (read the ballot), humbly accept the will of the people, or at least, the will of the people who voted for me.
It is with a happy heart that I accept your votes, and the office of the Presidency. As in all things, a person cannot be where they are without help from their friends and allies, and so I recognize all of you as my compatriots, my loyal supporters, and my organ donors should the need ever arise, which it most certainly will.
I ask that we look forward, now, to the future of the board, and that we prepare ourselves for whatever may present itself; whether it be feast or famine, prosperity or recession, nature's harvest or her fury, a bustling population or a random "cleansing", I vow to lead us through that future, and into the future of tomorrow's future, which will then be our present, as this will be our past. But we shall not look to the future past until we've been in the present, which will be our future, and I ask as we traverse through that past future present, that we look ahead, to the future, and know that we have traveled there together.
So, I thank you, my wonderful supporters, and my grudgingly acceptable detractors, for your support and or disdain, and I promise you that I will always keep all of you in mind, as I do whatever the hell I want to do for myself.
