The 10 best shows on tv right now regardless of genre?

Adventure Time
Attack on Titan
Duck Tales (2017)
Megalo Box
My Hero Academia
One Piece
The Good Place
The Orville
Steven Universe
Superstore

Selected from the current shows I've seen, in random order (* = based on first season):

Legion
Mr. Robot
The Orville
Doctor Who
Mary Kills People
Westworld*
Jessica Jones*
Elementary
McMafia
Killing Eve

Current shows I watch that don't make the cut of top ten, again in random order:

Star Trek: Discovery
The Walking Dead
Fear the Walking Dead
Supergirl
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Siren
Endeavour
9-1-1

These recently completed shows would have bumped two shows out of the top ten:

The Americans
Star Wars Rebels

Im looking for some new shows to check out so I appreciate this thread. I'm bing watching Justified right now, which is great show about a Kentucky US Marshall that aired on fx from 2010 to 2015. In my opinion movies suck today but there were some really well written and produced shows on cable in recent years. That's where the talent is today.

Besides Justified the other somewhat recent TV I enjoyed included Mad Men, Bored To Death, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Boardwalk Empire was addictive although it was too decadent and violent for my tastes.

Everyone should give the show "Episodes" a try as well. I'm currently binge watching it and I am in season 3. It's really funny and clever were Matt LeBlanc from "Friends" plays a version of himself on this bad tv show created by this eccentric Britsh couple who are the shows creator. Also if you didn't like "Friends" which I didn't don't let that stop you. This show i much better.

I also forgot about Curb and does "Twin Peaks" count? Maybe jut maybe David Lynch will return again to screw with our heads and make us like it.

Game of Thrones
The Handmaid's Tale
Westworld
The Crown
Star Trek: Discovery
Altered Carbon
Daredevil
Law & Order: SVU
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
American Dad

How are we defining "on TV"? I watch most of my TV through streaming services, which means TOS is currently on TV

I'm trying to think how many of the shows I actually watch I would consider to be great. For example, I think The Orville is fun but otherwise it's a lot like fast food. Same for Supergirl, which I find more enjoyable than not but it's extremely clunky and has a lot of mediocre to terrible writing without any depth, subtlety or nuance. Then there's The Walking Dead, which is just kind of there. I'll never call Gotham a good show, even though season 4 was quite a bit more watchable than the first three seasons. The Last Ship is entertaining but the characters are shallow and the plotting is perfunctory.

Cobra Kai
Colony
Elementary
The Expanse
The Good Place
Mr. Robot
This is Us
Westworld

Honorable mention to Lucifer (RIP)

Yeah, I can't come up with 10. Definitely not putting The Blacklist, Blindspot, Suits, Supernatural or Timeless on there.

Longmire would probably be up there, but I haven't watched it since it moved to Netflix.

There's an underrated show that I bet many haven't heard of or seen, called X-Company. It's quite unique in the sense that I don't think there's anything like it on TV at the moment. It's a spy show set during WWII, based on a real spy training facility that Ian Fleming supposedly visited and was said to have been inspired in creating James Bond. Anyway, this show has operatives from Canada being sent out to France to spy on the Germans. Production values are quite good. It can be quite brutal and hard to watch at times though due to the things they cover. Show is currently in its 3rd and final season. Airs on Ovation in the U.S.

I'd ordered that a few weeks ago on dvd and will be queuing it up in a few days.

I was thinking of shows who are still in production and not cancelled with the exception of it happened during the current tv season or also retired during the current tv season thus "The Americans" would still count. Maybe "Orphan Black" as well. Did that end this tv season or last tv season? I admit it's harder knowing these things now that tv doesn't shut down for the summer and force everyone to watch reruns for a few months.
