McCoy: I wonder what killed him.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: I don't know. But something or someone did.

 

[Orac]

[Bridge]

Rahda: We're holding warp eight point four, sir. If we can maintain it, our estimated time of arrival is eleven and one half solar hours.

 

[Leandar]

Spock: Eleven point three three seven hours, Lieutenant. I wish you would be more precise.

 

[Orac]

[Leandar]

Spock: Spock here.

 

[Orac]

Scotty: Mister Spock, the ship feels wrong.

 

[Leandar]

(Everyone on the bridge turns toward Spock with a sort of ''wtf'' look on their faces)

Spock: ''Feels,'' Mr. Scott?

 

[Orac]

[Engineering]

Scotty: I know it doesn't make sense. Instrumentation reads correct, but the feel is wrong.

 

[Leandar]

Scotty (cont.): It's something I can't quite put into words.

Spock: That is obvious, Mr. Scott. I suggest you avoid emotionalism and simply keep your instruments correct. Spock out.

 

[Orac]

Kirk: We've got to figure this out and devise a defence against it. Is it possible that the rocks have life?

 

[BlueStuff]

SULU: You remember on Janus Six, the silicon creatures-

 

[Orac]

McCoy: But our instruments recorded that. They were life forms. They registered as life forms.

KIRK: Unless we're dealing with beings, intelligent beings who can shield themselves.
