Terminator Salvation unreleased cut

According to McG, he still has a copy of the unedited Terminator Salvation lying around. It is said to be darker than the theatrical version (I found another ScreenRant article that described the original ending in more detail than I had ever heard before)

I admit, I'd like to see this one. The theatrical version just had things go on, status quo, at the end when the original ending would have shaken things up.

I read this story in a Terminator comic book from the 90's. I think it would have been awesome in live action.
