Terminator: Salvation *Spoilers*

I watched Salvation expecting it to be dire, and those expectations were met unfortunately. However there is one positive aspect to the film: Anton Yelchin. He was by far the best actor in the film, and i hope the negative reaction to Salvation doesnt damage his career too much.
Absolutely agree. Anton was awesome in it, and I totally bought him in the role. Having seen him as Chekov, I was really impressed by how differently he played the role. At times, I found myself wanting him on the screen more than Bale, and I like Bale as an actor.

Also agreed that practical models rule. CGI certainly has its place, but having some models in there is always a nice touch.

The extended cut being released - from what has been revealed - will only have Moon Bloodgood's topless scene readded to the film. It was removed to secure the PG-13 rating that the studio wanted.

There are, however, over 40 other minutes that are still unreleased. Also, from what was reported a while ago, the extended version will only be released on Blu-Ray. They are only releasing a bare bones edition on DVD.

Anyone know if this is true?

^ Yes, images from those deleted scenes have been seen and are posted in some of the behind the scenes books on the film.

Target had a Director's Cut of the film, but it was only the Blu-Ray version on DVD.

I thought this was the worst film I could recall seeing at the cinema since the first Transformers. I thought T3 was alright, but this was appallingly stupid. If I'm honest, I'm surprised to see anyone who likes it. Still, each to their own.

I remember Gene Siskel once saying in a review of a bad film where they'd forgotten one of the reels and he could come back and see it the next day that he's replied something along the lines of "That reel could be the famous lost footage from The Magnificent Ambersons and it wouldn't make your movie any better". That's how I'd feel about an extended version of this.
