Re: Terminator-213 "Earthlings Welcome Here" - Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

Well I guess that's it for the show for me then. Don't really have anyway to watch from the begining.
You could watch most of the second season on Hulu.com. While you wouldn't have the first season for background, you could get a good idea about the series and whether it interests you. It's rare that I've ever started a series from the beginning. More often than not I pick it up somewhere in the middle and get sucked into a story. Then I'm compelled to go back and find out what I've missed. I think there's enough essential story in the second season to get someone hooked - especially someone pre-disposed to be interested.

Just saw a link to this episode on MSN, would I be making a mistake to watch it though I have not watched the rest of the series so far?

Stop Gap (if you want to watch the episode and can't watch previous ones):

TerminatorWiki has an extensive database on all the episodes including full episode guides.

Hunter-Killer. Skynet's non-Terminator killing machines, like those huge tanks and hovercraft in the future-war segments.

Technically correct. Some humanoid hunter killers are also called HK's in novels, video games, and comicsl provided they don't have organic flesh.

HK on TSCC refers to the Aerial Hunter Killer
Centaur Patrol and Ogre (conjecture - one place says this is new while another says its an HK Tank) refer to the HK Tank.

Just wanted to add this to the discussion: the producers have said in the behind the scenes scenemaker that what Sarah saw was left open to interpretation for the viewers. She may have seen the UFO, she may have been having delusions. Anything is possible.

I am leaning towards delusion due to the gunshot trauma. In the preview for upcoming episodes, the appearance of Kyle Reese leads me to believe we'll get some sort of hallucination/flashback sequence as Sarah totters near death.

^ Or it may really be him having faked his death at the Cyberdyne Plant in Terminator 1...

I am just kidding.

Re: Terminator-213 "Earthlings Welcome Here" - Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

Reese has come back in time seeking Sarah's help to kill off the new Chekov from Star Trek so that the twerp doesn't screw up Kyle Reese too.

Or it's a terminator in the form of Kyle Reese. :p

Re: Terminator-213 "Earthlings Welcome Here" - Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

I finally watched this last night. (DVR FTW! :bolian:)

Very interesting at the end. They are building those flying things already in past? I remember in T3 they were small things, miniature versions of what they would become but this one looked like a monster.

I was pleased with the episode until the end. The move to Friday has me worried about the show's survival. I realize the X-Files did great on Friday for Fox so maybe they think history will repeat itself. I hope so.

Kyle Reese has always been a terminator!

Terminator Everlasting

Re: Terminator-213 "Earthlings Welcome Here" - Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

Not only is he a terminator, he's probably Skynet downloaded into one. SKYNET IS JOHNS FATHER

Re: Terminator-213 "Earthlings Welcome Here" - Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS

Just watched the episode, liked it

The craft at the end IMO is an HK prototype

Maybe they're going to keep developing the fact that they can and do change the future. It'd be great if John had the epiphany that the future is iterating and not a fixed loop, he doesn't have to do a goddamn thing, and can start fighting the time-war with Skynet a lot more creatively. Every John Connor we know is conceived by Kyle Reese from the Judgement Day 1997 timeline, which means that in the current future, the Judgement Day 2011 timeline, Connor can send Kyle wherever he pleases and he'll still be born, because he was conceived by an entirely different Kyle Reese. So he could send JD2011 Kyle back to 2008 with impunity. If he wanted, and was willing to wait a few generations, he could spam history with alternate versions of Kyle Reese.
