^ Michelle Dixon. The producers said though that the gas station scenes were deliberately set up to give us a feel for Sarah Connor in the first film.

Thought so. I saw some of that, but I'm too used to her role on Lost to really think of her as a Linda Hamilton lookalike.

 Who looked like Linda Hamilton last week?

Michelle Nixon
Now Charley can get back with Sarah and Sonya Walger can get back to Lost. :p

To me at least, she looks a bit like Linda Hamilton, which Lena Headey does not. I found it vaguely distracting.

I though we really got an excellent episode tonight, easily the best of the season so far. Learning about Cameron's/Allison past was really interesting. Plus seeing Summer doing some more human-like stuff was a nice change of pace.

I'm also getting more interested in the Ellison/Weaver storyline, I want to see where they're taking it.

I liked the flashbacks, but everything was still too vague. The series also seems to be progresssing at a snail's pace, which is very jarring given how the movies were made. And when the hell are they finally going to give Ellison more than 2-3 scenes?

I do wonder whether this is now a hint that Cameron was actually sent back in time to gain the trust of the Connors, and then kill John at some point. However, he has trusted her for awhile, and she's had plenty of opportunity, so it probably would have happened already.

My biggest lingering question of the episode...what the hell does Skynet need a tiger and a bear for??? :wtf:

When the bears and tigers united to fight the Terminators, Skynet knew they had to devise a way to infiltrate the animal kingdom.

I went with excellent for tonight. For all the same reasons stated above. I am really becoming a huge fan of Summer Glau. Wish I didn't have to work tonight so I could have watched with you all.

Why no minority terminators?

They don't want Good Will Riker to watch the show?

Though you may jest, this is a good question. I think they should mix up the Terminators-non-whites, kids, seniors. I would like to see some Terminators you wouldn't think were robots, sort of like the Cylons in new BSG. Part of the fun with BSG was trying to figure out who was a Cylon and who wasn't.

average.
the cameron backstory was cool, but I wish we found out some more. I want the pregnant dame to die. That story bored the hell out of me. No Derek kinda stunk. The Ellison-Weaver story is getting a little more interesting. All in all, meh.

The more I think of it, the more I suspect Cameron's programming is suffering intermittent glitches. She's been sent to protect John, but yet every so often her primary program kicks in and she's out for John. It seems the two directives are in conflict with each other, hence the reason she hasn't killed John.

She needs to Defrag.

Average.

Didn't care about Rivernator and her new thieving halfway house buddy. Saw the "revelation" of one Summer Glau character interrogating the other to become a more effective copy coming a mile away. Preggo chick wastes screen time and adds absolutely nothing interesting. FBI guy and red-haired T-1001 need to get the fuck on with their project.

I thought it was a decent episode. At the very least, it didn't have as many ridiculous cliches and plotholes as the past few episodes. The biggest one was probably John going off and leaving Cameron on her own again. You'd think he would've learned his lesson. Plus, Cameron becoming all better again just at the right moment. How convenient.

Skynet doesn't produce minority terminators often because of trouble with replicating different skin pigmentations.

Terminators based on older people are a similar problem. The skin doesn't come out right all the time and the endoskeleton required modification to effectively replicate an older person - reducing its combat ability.

Skynet does used Terminators based on Children. They are used to lull humans into a false sense of security and then kill them (often by pretending to be hurt).

If the I-950 is an active unit in this series Skynet uses different DNA in their construction and I recall Tiger DNA was mentioned as being used by a luddite scientist allied with Skynet in that novel. I-950's are genetically modified humans.

Additionally, Terminators and I-950's were tested against animals. In a part of the novel Infiltrator a T-800 watched the I-950 in combat against a tiger.
