Average. When watching, I was able to piece together what was going to happen long before it did. Also, the episode couldn't keep my entire interest. I kept wandering off to do other things during the commercials and didn't feel the need to hurry back.

Also, main cast member or not, Cromartie chasing John struck me as too much of a "Terminator-of-the-week" type episode, like last week. This is something I remember the producers saying the show won't be, yet it's starting to.

I am just not digging this season. I don't know why. Maybe the "novelty" of a Terminator series has worn off? Maybe I'm too "loyal" to the movie continuity. I dunno. I just can't get into it as much as I did last season. I'm tempted to give up on the show, but next week's preview is enough to make me stay for at least next week.

Also, add me as another one who doesn't care at all for John's not-girlfriend.

I think I'll start watching it on-line instead of DVRing it when I work Monday nights. Any thing for the cause!!! Skynet must be stopped after all. ;)

DVR counts too according to TerminatorFiles.

What happens if you watch it and DVR record it because you thought you might not be home to watch it, but turns out you were, but didn't bother canceling the recording?

Average. I think story-wise, they made a mistake revealing that Shirley Manson is made out of garbage...I mean...liquid metal. Sure, we could've all guess she was a terminator, but...

Plus missed dialouge between her and Ellison

"Do you have an opinion, a mind of your own?"

Also, a nice touch would've been a shot of Kromartie beating off to an issue of Popular Mechanics. Who says terminators don't masturbate?

On a series concept, how awesome would it have been if John Connor was totally unaware of the terminator thing, having no idea his mom and "sister" were saving his life every week from killer robots. Think TRUE LIES meets TERMINATOR with SMALL WONDER thrown in. ;)

Unless you have a Nielsen Box live viewership doesn't count.

There was some good stuff here, like the end scene. Loved the look Cameron gave when John spotted her at the resturant. I liked it.

You know, I understand John wants to live a normal life but he is such a little douchebag it's not even funny. Now in all fairness, Sarah didn't help things here but being all secretative and not telling him that the Terminator was coming to kill him. But John is such a self-centered brat that I don't think he would have cared. I was truly hoping Cromartie would kill him. Humanity deserves better than this selfish twit.

I think I would have appreciated it more if John had shown a bit more wisdom. Say, remaining out of sight until he spotted his mother at the pier would have been wise.

And by the way, what kind of code uses the same phrase every phone call? I mean, really.

One other thing I had a problem with....I felt terrible for Charlie and I did understand why Sarah went to help him. But SARAH CONNOR WOULD NOT HAVE STOPPED THAT CAR FOR ANYTHING! This ranks up there with the writer's "brilliant" decision to reveal that she signed custody of her brat son away last season.

^ Sarah isn't a killer. Of course she would have stopped the car.

She also couldn't finish off Miles Dyson.

Why? Because he wanted to hang out with a hot girl? What 16 year old kid would be content hanging out with his mom and cyborg protector all day long? He didn't have any reason to believe that there was any imminent danger... at least not until he got the call from his mom. As soon as that happened he ditched the chick and did what he was told.

I voted average. The bit at the end was anti-climactic and the terminator acted like a retard. Any T-800 from the movies would have gone shooting into the crowd, killing everyone in sight until it hit its target, not waiting for John to jump. And how the f**k did he get away anyway? Arggh!

Cromartie seems to enjoy playing mind games this season, such as with the "we'll see" comment to Ellison in "Samson and Delilah." As for letting John get away, Cromartie sank and his gun wouldn't work underwater. I thought that was rather amusing, myself. :)

True. But she wouldn't have stopped that car if she was going to save John.

I have to agree. I would understand if it were
Like the kid from an upcoming episode
, but I was fairly surprised when she stopped.

But she did struggle with the decision, and I think the doubt added a bit of depth to her character, reminiscent of her deciding in shock not to kill Dyson in T2. It's in her character to avoid killing people--despite her tough exterior.

Skynet sends two "Kill, Kill, Exterminate! Dalek Terminators" and they both fail, send a more intelligent model that can form strategy and then maybe they can succeed.

Cromarte is the smarter better terminator, not a pure killing machine like in the movies but a more sophisticated model that can blend in and kill more like a ninja assassin than a barbarian.

I at least liked the fact that Terminators apparently don't do well in water (which makes sense considering their weight). At least they have that weakness.

Looks like Charlie's standing outside of a Taco Bell.

:)

Actually it's supposed to be the gas station from the first film. The producers mentioned that they recently filmed at it.

Not only that, but Charlie's wife looked rather Linda-esque sitting there, so much so that I thought maybe they were flashing back to when Charlie and Sarah first met, til I realized he looked no younger.

Slow. Haircut badass? Please. Lingering looks, forced slowmotion drama. Season I was really intriguing. So far, the only good aspect to this show is Glau and the black dude. The villain is okay, but really... sinking? Nothing new here at all.

I'm hoping something truly unique happens next ep, or I'm likely to exit stage left.
