I think Zava's going to flame out or quit eventually, and his plot function is to rocket the team up into position to take the top spot, but it'll be the team itself that actually has to win, as a team, the big game, without any superstar carrying them.

And that last scene. I think Mr. Crimm, whose character I've come to enjoy, has figured out a way to get back into the news biz.
I don't think so. Crimm intentionally threw away his career because he didn't like being used by Nate to attack Ted, he didn't have to burn his source and get fired for it, that was entirely his choice. We did see Crimm with a man last season, when he ran into Ted at the bar in episode 7, it's possible he's more sympathetic to Colin's situation.
