Well, from watching DS9's Little Green Men, I know why Vosk didn’t side with the Americans and manipulate them into building his time machine. General Denning would’ve thought they were BS and hauled them off to a laboratory to be dissected. Then again, maybe Vosk was a better manipulator than Quark.

Now that would've been an interesting twist. I don't think the US would've turned them down if they were offering advanced weapons and tech.

Also, why didn't they side with the Soviets? I'm sure the aliens might've had knowledge of the correct timeline. Why not join one of the victors instead of trying to right the ship of the losers?

It would have interesting to see Colonel Green or the Eastern coalition with the TCW aliens working with either side in the 2050s, if it weren't for B&B dragging in the nazis!

So you can show people with Nazi uniforms in the preview ads. Nobody would recognize WWIII uniforms or care.

Alright, TNG and DS9 failed in that respect... but at least they had some thinly disguised stand-ins in form of the Cardassians.
