Taylor Swift

And Dennis, seriously, brilliant songwriter? Her simplistic verse and little girl themes might endear her to tweens and emotionally stunted housewives but anyone with a mature taste in music will see right through her childish lyrics.
Stevie Nicks disagrees with you:
"All of us girls want that boy to pick us up and think that we look beautiful even though we're in jeans and clogs. We want it at 14, and we want it at 60. Taylor is writing for the universal woman and for the man who wants to know her. The female rock-'n'-roll-country-pop songwriter is back, and her name is Taylor Swift. And it's women like her who are going to save the music business."

Stevie Nicks must be going senile.

^ She's never been the same since 9/11 and her trip to afghanistan

I'm pissed off that Kanye's little stunt led to this talentless hack getting pitty Grammys.

Did you hear her singing with Stevie Nicks during the Grammy Awards? If I was Stevie I would've walked off stage after hearing that painful display of out of tune singing. But considering Stevie's remarks, I think she's taken a large dose of the Kool Aid.

Well things took a dramatic change. I checked the winners of the other tickets. Head of HR and the CFO. Hello butt-kissing fest.

Can't say I've ever heard of her.
She's kind of odd in performance, though - she tends to "act out" what she's singing. Happy hands.
Well, nobody complained when Judy Garland did that. Or Dusty Springfield, for that matter.

Aaaah Squinty, if you can deal with a grown woman still not being over high school pettiness at the age of 20, sure, enjoy yourself.

Somebody's bitter!

Well, she obviously wasn't paying attention in school anyway. Romeo and Juliet ends with both of them dead never having had the luck of even doing each other first. Yup, that's a great love story.

:wtf: I think you're the one that needs to pay more attention. Romeo and Juliet consummate their marriage the night he's banished from Verona.

So, if you can stand listening to teeny-bopper pop songs that prevent the youngsters out there from knowing anything remotely close to what classic literature is about, then you should be fine.

She could also be a fan of the Dire Straits, you know.

I was going to say, take full advantage of the free beer, but maybe not. :)

Miss Taylor's lyrics may be stupid (really, really stupid), and she breathes in the middle of words :brickwall: but the music is all right. Well, the original country mixes, not the Top 40 mixes. I work at a girls clothing store with awful tween-pop in-store radio, and I prefer Taylor to, say, Justin Bieber.

*snaps fingers* That's right... none-the-less, they end up dead... not really much of a love story.

I don't get the reference.

Oh, don't even get me started on the breathing in the middle of words thing! And she's not the only culprit in popular music, either...
