I loved all of them, but the Dooku centered ones were especially amazing. Some great insight into what caused him to become disillusioned with the Republic and the Jedi Order as well as some hints he always had some darkness within him, thus explaining why he went to the Dark Side.

I hope they continue this series. There's definitely a lot more ground they can cover.

The sixth episode was certainly a disappointing continuity disaster I'd like to forget ever happened. Only thing I liked, well, loved about it is how they concealed the truth about Luke and Leia. I was almost going to call it an error, upon the realization I'm just stupid.

The rest was quite fabulous. “Practice Makes Perfect” was quite chilling, considering what it unintentionally end up preparing her for.

I loved “The Sith Lord”. I haven't read that part of The High Republic mentioned in the continuity breakdown mentioned by Tuskin38, but I loved seeing Yaddle. More Yaddle please. I'm going to go back to The High Republic here to catch up. Hope it's not in the comics, because I've barely read 20% of those and I don't seem to like them very much as a format.

Dooku's time-line is definitely fascinating. There's a lot for him to have been upset about. One again no compliments to the Jedi paid, but of course fighting imperfection with destruction is only on him. It's uncomfortably similar to commentary on real-world events that forgets all nuance and throws the washing machine out the window over a little rattling.

I'm not sure about “Life and Death” storywise, but it was beautiful. Shili is absolutely incredible a place. The episode was also seriously channelling Avatar for some reason. The predictable Avatar resolution felt a bit much considering that was quicker than even The Force Awakens, but I didn't mind it because it was just so sweet and adorable.

And I'm not sure what's up with all the Earth wildlife. We can't have puffins, but we can have regular deer and regular dogs? If you showed me a puffin in Star Wars, I wouldn't have suspected it was a real animal.

Enjoyed all three Dooku episdoes. We hear in Attack of the Clones that Dooku was a "political idealist" so it was great to see that he had genuine reasons for leaving the Republic and to see hiim conflicted in his fight with Yaddle. Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine is always a treat.

The first two Ahsoka episodes were...meh? I like Ahsoka but we didn't really learn anything new about her from them. They were fine but probably could have been used for other stories. The third one was more substantial (I haven't read the novel it contradicts) and I enjoyed how easily she defeated the Inquisitor.

Where/when was that final scene of episode 5 taking place? During the final Clone Wars episodes, or sometime after that? Been a while since I watched them

I watched one of 'em. As I suspected, it's just more lore navel gazing, filling in "gaps" in the history, telling us nothing remotely essential or vital or really interesting. Just, "Hey, this scene probably happened between other scenes! Cool, right?!"

The existence of Andor makes all this nonsense look even more and more childish and irrelevant.

I was going to disagree with your post, at least in regards to the Dooku episodes which are masterpieces of short form storytelling and beautifully voice acted. But then you typed this and I stopped taking you seriously. Get over yourself.

There is room for everybody under this tent. You are the worst kind of viewer, the worst kind of fan.

It's fiction. None of it is necessary or vital. It's just meant as fun, a child like style escapism that Lucas liked. That people take it so seriously says way more about them than the people making it.

Agreed to all of that.

Dooku eps were great, Ashokas? Not really needed. They were good, but not needed.
Rather them have done another jedi, or just straight Dooku or Qui Gon

I didn’t know what to expect from this.
But I liked it a lot.
Baby Ahsoka was probably not needed.
But it showed her force aptitude and capacity for empathy was already off the scale pretty early on.
She is one of the most extraordinary characters in the entire Star Wars Mythos for me.
Going from what many perceived an annoying and unwanted sidekick to appease the younger audience, to a pivotal but unsung hero of the republic and rebellion.
To the point where I am not sure the prophecy of the chosen one doesn’t include her.

When the One in Babylon 5 can be Sinclair, Delenn and Sheridan, can the Chosen One in Star Wars be Anakin, Luke and Ahsoka?
In many ways she eclipses Anakin and Luke as a Jedi and succeeds where they both failed.

Dooku‘s story felt well done, filling in some details that elevates him from cardboard villain status.
I don’t think even during the Clone Wars show he ever got much depth.
But in the end his turn mirrored Anakin a bit too much for me and he didn’t seem conflicted enough.
Maybe he was just a two dimensional villain after all and just needed permission to let out his inner villain.
I didn’t get what he was actually fighting for?
Stop the Jedi from corruption and then what?
How did he think Palps would help him achieve that?
