    It isn't?

    *throws out calendar.* Whoops...
Or my wife who is a published author.

Or my various other female friends.

You realize the Hollywood "elite" are primarily old white male conservatives whose sole goal is to make money? Do you know why they invest in diversity? Because it is the best bet to get their investments back with large profits.

I suppose we could point out that "plan A" for casting Star Wars back in 1975 was for the majority of the cast to be non-white (Obi-Wan & Leia would have been Japanese, & Han Solo would have been black) but Toshiro Mifune said "No", so Lucas went to "Plan B": ask Alec Guiness instead. And of course there's the piddling little detail that for a while fairly late in pre-production Luke was going to be female. SHE even made it into one of the posters.

Of course I feel like an appeal of facts and logic would be lost on a closed mind wrapped in an obnoxious gobshite...that is of such a one were to read this...

You have not made an argument here. Just pointed a figure, couching mere insults in pretty poetic words. You made no real argument

You did not answer my question, though like everyone else here, you skirted around the question with ease, you guys are good at that!

Oh, I read them. Your spelling still sucks.
Yeah, nice try. Admiral Holdo was entirely Rian Johnson's creation which Kathleen Kennedy had nothing to do with at all. But you know, continue hating Krazy Kathy at your leisure.

When you decided to make up a number for the percentage of male audience, did you think 90 percent was more realistic than 99 percent?

There is no argument. This is not some parlor game or elegant discussion. I'm not discussing the nature of reality with Aristotle across the wind-kissed summit of the Pnyx. I'm telling a racist, misogynist torchbearer that they are everything that is wrong with the world. If you want the kind "debate" you crave, go back to hitting the comment sections on youtube.

I think there's a certain poster who has deep-seated issues with women and minorities.

Ask a question worth answering and I'll see what I can do. Keep regurgitating bile and stupidity all over the screen and I'll just keep on-a-dancing. ;)

There IS an argument, and a question I asked that no one answered.

so far every time IO asked all you guys can do is call me a racist misogynist because it makes you feel better, truth doesn't matter. You guys don't want to actually listen to an argument or make a good one on your own. I can teach you the alphabet if you want

That it wasn't (and really still isn't) a problem says a lot about how far we still have to go as a society.

Sad but true. The fact that diversity is treated as "box checking" showcases something I learned back in 7th grade-that representation is a struggle.

are offended when Elmur Fudd shoots Daffy in the mouth all day? Are you offended that we see that kind of GUN VIOLENCE in children's TV?? OMG

Are you hoping that the next Marvel film has a freckled face for a lead? THAT demographic has not had a lead yet

    Are you disturbed by this?

it's box-checking when all of the "diverse" characters are still written by people who all have the same political views

Just because you grew up with something and that makes it seem normal, doesn't mean it is right. I love Tom and Jerry, it doesn't mean there's a place for it in the modern world.

I gave up on the Marvel films a while back, they are dull and uninspired.
