charlie... hands down... and he wouldn't need a tantrum... all sylar would do is once throw him up against the bulkhead with his powers... all charlie has to do is look at him... he doesn't even need to look....

he could change sylars preception of reality... change sylar into a chick... or even nuthing at all... with a thought...

It really depends on the situation.

Two big questions need to be answered. Do they know what each other is capable of and is one hunting the other or is it a Hollywood Western-style duel?

If Sylar is hunting Charlie and knows what Charlie can do, Charlie's toast. But that's the only situation in which Sylar would win -- and Heaven forbid that would happen and he gained Charlie's power. As others have said, if Sylar did his usual posturing and gloating before moving in for the kill, Charlie would just wink him out of existence, turn him to dust, or any other number of reflexive responses.

That's not to say that I like Charlie at all. God-awful character in a God-awful episode. But his power is far superior to Sylar's.
