Sylar- creepiest TV villian ever?

My wife and I are going through the (truncated) second season of "Heroes" and, seeing that Sylar amazingly survived his near fatal injuries from Hiro's sword at the end of the first season, I am more reminded than ever just how creepy of a villain he is.

He is somewhat of a misbegotten villain with some major pathos to be sure but the instant he is seen walking into a room somewhere you just know that somebody is going to DIE, it's just a matter of who and what power he is going to steal/absorb next. He seems so crafty, manipulative, and smart that vanquishing him for good seems like it is going to be a monumental feat for the "good" heroes.

Sylar, at least for me, is one of the creepiest villains that I think I've ever seen on a TV show or perhaps even in the movies (although Samarra from "The Ring" comes pretty close). Even Darth Vader (ESB), who used to be my "boogeyman" from my childhood fails to hold a candle to Sylar's ability to flat out creep me out as an adult.

I do wonder, however, how exactly he is able to gain other people's powers and just how many powers he will ultimately able to absorb (I wonder if his obession with gaining new powers and becoming more "special" is eventually going to be his downfall?).
I hope that we will also eventually get to see Peter and Sylar fight again (I mean a REAL fight). Aside from their battle with each other in Hiro's alternative future (which was VERY chilling), their "battle" with each other at the end of the first season turned out to be rather tame and somewhat anti-climatic considering everything that had happened up to that point.

Thoughts? Opinions? *no spoilers please

I never managed to see all of season 1, so this was spoilerville for me.

Anyway, what is so crafty about him? He just finds his victims, waits for them to be alone, then kills them.

Creepy? Not so much. In fact, off the top of my head I can't think of any creepy baddies from TV series.

Scorpius had some creepy moments.

And I think that Jubel Early from the last episode of "Firefly" was very creepy, but he only got to appear once.

Creepiest? That's too much of a stretch but he is becoming one of the most well-rounded and deepest I've seen in some time. He isn't a straight up evil villian with no remorse, care or diabloical agenda. He's a flawed (super) human who has an addiction he can't control.

Creepy? Perhaps not. But he is, for me, one of the finest villains in TV at the moment. Not on a par with, say, Scorpius, but he is brilliant on his own merits, especially with the development of series 3.

Sylar, off the top my head... That's funneh :p

Not the creepiest, not by a looong shot. British soaps have managed to come up with their fare share of creepy villains (Richard Hillman, Trevor Jordache just to name a couple). Then you've got the Borg, who were in a their own league of creepy when they first appeared. And, as mentioned there's Jubal Early, not to mention the Hands of Blue and the Reavers from Firefly. I think by comparison, Sylar's just a bit misguided :p

I never found Sylar creepy. Though I like it that he isn't as one sided as most villains are.

I gotta go 'no'. Fairly bland and boring, actually. Only time he was creepy was the beginning of the first season, when he was actually a decent villian. but that's before the writers got a hold of him and started fleshing him out. The more they tried to make him important to the show, the crappier he got. When it was random attacks in the dark, and you didn't know what he even looked like, he was decent, yes...

Sylar was a creepy character at the start when everyone was certain he was a brain eater. But the more screen time a villain gets, the harder creepiness is to sustain.

Iguess he's somewhat creepy. Powerful, dangerous, and unpredictable--most definitely. But we've seen a lot of his more gentle side now, so that cuts down on the "creepy" factor quite a bit.

I thought Sheriff Buck on "American Gothic" was REALLY damn creepy.

Don't forget the Peacock clan...
And I cannot believe no one has mentioned Benjamin "Bug-Eyes" Linus.

Peacock clan! *shudder* Sweet Jesus. Just when I thought I had blocked that from my mind. They are UBER-CREEPY.

Ben has a creepy vibe, but also sort of a mysterious, evil, controlling, master-plan, what-the-fuck-is-going-on vibe.
