Sylar as spock, did you buy it?

I think he did a good job, but one thing was bothering me the entire time. His voice isn't deep enough! I didn't think that would bug me, but it did. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though.

I know I'm going against the grain here, but I really didn't like his performance of Spock. I can't put my finger on why exactly, it just didn't feel right to me.

Geez, after watching the film I don't think I bought it. The rest of the cast was great, as every other character fit in perfectly. Except for spock. I'm not sure Sylar was the right guy for it, as every time I heard his voice I thought of Sylar and not spock. I swear he even had the same inflections as Sylar and at times his voice sounded as evil as him.

I don't know. I'm a huge fan of the Nimoy version of Spock, which I'm sure colors my perception. I agree with MetalPants. Besides, I think he was written as more emotional than I would've liked.

Quinto did a respectable job in a difficult position...playing Spock against Leonard effing Nimoy himself!

I love Heroes and Sylar is my favourite character, but Quinto proved he's not just a one trick pony

QUINTO IS SPOCK! It doesn't get any better!

Yep, I immediately thought of Sylar here. I did think Quinto seemed a bit too evil, harsh for Spock. Anger seemed to be more prevalent behind the non-emotional front.

On the whole, I did buy Sylar as Spock though and thought Quinto did a good job.

Zach should be mindful of the power of Spock to take over an actor's identity; it's kind of good that some are still thinking of him in terms of another character.

Loved him there, in Amok Time and every other place he was emotional, but like that those are departures. I guess that's the thing I liked about Nimoy's Spock and the way he was written -- we mostly saw the Vulcan side. Maybe it's hard to do that in a movie -- show him without emotion and yet show the emotion he's capable of. Perhaps delving into his mixed heritage would've been better in a second movie? I don't know. I just saw the movie yesterday (got a baby sitter) and I'm still honestly processing a lot of it.

I can say without reservation Karl Urban's portrayal of McCoy was so on the mark for me, that I liked him better than the DeForrest McCoy. Blasphemy!

I mostly bought it. I just wish he'd been taken to the make-up chair for a quick shave, more often. That 5:00 shadow was distracting.
