SWAP SHOP! What if an episode was made for another series?

TOS "Spock's Brain" as an SNL episode. I think it makes much more sense that way. I can hear Gilda Radner, "Brain and brain! What is brain?!"

Other cast members:
Dan Akroyd as Spock
Bill Murray as Dr. McCoy

I'd love to hear other suggestions for casting this one.

TNG's Parallels done on Voyager would be neat. I'd have Tom Paris be the one shifting between realities where we'll see one reality where Kes and him hooked up having that kid, one where the original helmsman never died, and one where Voyager never left the Alpha quadrant at all, among others.

"Best Of Both Worlds" done on the original series would've been a one-parter because Kirk is just that bad ass.

I used to think about this but still keeping the idea that the captain would be captured and assimilated, leaving the XO in charge. And with that said, the episode would probably be drastically different since Spock would either do things that Riker would never consider, or have a different kind of struggle with "throwing out the playbook."

TNG's "All Good Things" done in TOS would be neat just to see TOS's Enterprise, TMP's refit, and the Enterprise A saving the galaxy.

Main body just after TMP, TOS segment at the end of the 5 year mission and future bits shortly before TUC.

That's how I'd do it.
I'm not sure who would replace Q. The Trelane seem too childish and the Metron were ready to let the Gorn die so it's hard to see him caring to save someone. I wouldn't mind seeing John De Lancie messing with Kirk and his crew.

Have Charlie X's parents put humanity to the test as proof of their worthiness to continue, after the poor example of Charlie.

Also, have Sulu and the Excelsior be the third ship to help save the day.

Unfortunately I usually think this when the episode feels flawed rather than when it was good but would have been better elsewhere. I thought "Wink of an Eye" and somewhat "The Mark of Gideon" felt like Voyager (too silly) and "The Dauphin" like the original series (Wesley seeming to act like Chekov).

Parallax as TNG

More or less as VOY minus the B-plot about selecting a new chief engineer, have Data and Geordi fly the shuttle mission and one of them can easily detect which is the right ship without having to guess. If you want a B-plot oh I don’t know something to do with Riker and Troi’s on –off relationship.

Well, in the 1975 SNL Star Trek skit:

01. John Belushi played Kirk.
02. Chevy Chase played Spock (Bill Murray replaced Chevy Chase on SNL in 1977).
03. Dan Aykroyd played McCoy and did Scotty's voice.

Here is the link to the skit.

Hope this helps,

Navigator NCC-2120, USS Entente

TOS: The Thaw. (Guest Starring Cesar Romero as the Clown.)

TNG: Turnabout Intruder.

DS9: The Doomsday Machine

VOY: I, Mudd.

ENT: The Galileo Seven.

Time & Again as TNG

Lets see have Data and Crusher take the place of Janeway and Paris. As for the plan Wes comes up with the solution to get them back, works with Geordi to impliment it. Aside from that more or less.

That sounds good.

Phage as TNG

Have the Vidian's steal Worf's lungs, and he wants Riker to help him commit ritual suicide. (sorry they did somthing like this TNG S5 "Ethics")

TNG's infamous "Code of Honor", as a DS9 ep with Sisko and Kira in place of Picard and Yar.
Maybe Dax instead of Kira? There's a fight scene with Yareena, and Kira would wipe the floor with her in a few seconds. Code of Honor would really work with any of the series.

Mudd's Women pretty much as it originally was, but with TNG. Picard would have the opportunity to give a flowery speech on Human trafficking, while Harry rolls his eyes and smiles tolerantly.

Kind of an odd one, but Suspicions just didn't work for me, because it seemed so out of character for Beverley. She's a great doctor, but what does she care about new shielding or flying a shuttle into a corona? It seemed a little odd. Everyone else is a physicist, and she's this MD with an interest for some reason.

It would probably have worked on DS9 better, because I could see early Jadzia Dax taking more of an interest, plus she has Torias's experience as a test pilot. Alternatively, make it a Geordi show.

I can appreciate the difficulty the writers had trying to develop stories for Bev that weren't about Wesley, or about medical ethics, but this wasn't the answer. Mind you, it was better than Sub Rosa. I think she works fine as an ancillary character, particularly as a foil to Picard and Data, but she was arguably TNG's weakest regular character. I'm in a minority, but I thought Pulaski was better for the ensemble!

The evil clown episode of Voyager, re-written and re-plotted some, would have made an excellent TOS episode. In fact, the ending and dialogue don't even need to be changed at all, with either Kirk or Spock saying it.

Throw in some psychedelic camera angels, colors and '60's look, and the clown's world would have taken on a more scary feel I think.

Similarly, except the TOS bits are from the beginning of the five year mission.

I agree; that way, you could have Gary Mitchell make an appearance. I'd also make it so the TMP-era crew actually got pulled off the V'Ger mission (maybe b/c it doesn't show up in the altered timeline), so that Decker and/or Ilia could make appearances, as well (sort of analogous to Tasha Yar and O'Brien popping up).

"The Cage" done by VOY.

Captain Janeway is kidnapped by illusion-producing aliens to become a mate to the sole human living on the planet--so as to create a race of slaves. On a mission to rescue her, Chakotay and Kim are abducted from the transporter dias, so as to give her other options.
