SW blu-rays have changes to the films again

Geekdom makes up a large percentage of posters, but a small number of movie goers--even to Star Wars movies.
So the sets arrive on Wednesday for us (Tuesday US time); when do the pre-ordered sets arrive? How soon are we gonna see confirmations of more bad shit?
I managed to get my hands on the set today and it's amazing to rewatch them in HD. It's like I'm watching whole new movies. The changes don't really concern me and thus far I haven't noticed anything different. If there are more changes they certainly aren't major like the whole Han Shot First thing.

I remember when I first got my VHS THX-remastered OT in letterbox. I'd never seen it in widescreen before. So much more detail...it was amazing.

Now that the sets are (almost) here, who's taking bets for when a BD double-dip will take place with the original versions of the OT? Remember it was stated that the original versions were unsuitable for DVD release, too, but they magically showed up. (Ditto the un-remastered Star Trek TOS which also showed up on BD).
Actually, with the 35th anniversary of ANH in 2012 I'm half expecting there to be an "all versions" release, sort of like what was done with Blade Runner and its umpteen variations.

Maybe they'll just release ANH on Blu-Ray. And then release TESB in 2013. And then ROTJ in 2014. And THEN they'll release the box set of all the originals on Blu-Ray in 2015.

Did you miss large stretches of the thread? The ones where we talked about how the original film masters for the first trilogy were altered to make the 1997 special editions, making a simple direct remastering of the originals in HD impossible? The ones where we talked, ad nauseum, about how the original versions released on DVD were of noticeably inferior quality even compared to the DVD special editions, hell, even compared to the laserdisks from which they were duplicated?
And the situation with Star Trek was so totally different it's not even worth comparing the two.
Lucas has done anything BUT milk the home video releases. If he was, he would release the original uncut versions later for a premium. He would then release the original release cut without the Ep IV title crawl (just "Star wars") and he would release an original concept cut that had the original concept intro, etc etc.
I find his stance on refusing to release the original cut strangely refreshing, in fact. At it's basic, I like most of the Special Edition changes. Realistically, the only way Greedo should get off a shot at all is if it's like Johnny Ringo in Tombstone. Similarly, for the DVD release, I appreciate the concept of having young Anakin appear as the ghost since the old man in that getup didn't quite make sense, but my beef with that shot is the execution which appears flawed (doens't appear that Hayden Christensen is looking in the same direction as the Alec Guiness and Yoda muppet), as well as the creepy smile. These infamous youtube cuts definitely have me cringing a bit at the "nooooo" and even though that's probably still my favorite scene out of all six movies watching Vader's moment of truth, it doesn't ruin the scene for me, much less rape my childhood or any other such redonkulous hyperbole.

I agree with Uxi.
If Lucas was/is going to pull a fast one with blu-ray in that manner, why didn't he do it with DVDs a couple years ago?
