Survivor Gabon - Commenatry Thread

I cannot stand Randy either - he's almost as grating as Ace was.
Last night surprised me too. I thought that if Kenny & Co. were voting Randy, then Sugar would go along with them...but since they were voting Charlie, I thought Sugar would swing back to the other side, since she still doesn't trust Kenny because of the Ace thing. Interesting how she's in the biggest position of power right now.
I've really grown to like Sugar. I DID like Corrine but she's starting to irritate me. I still love Crystal - she makes me laugh so I hope she stays around for a while. Bob kind of annoys me, and Matty and Susie I'm indifferent towards, though I give Susie a ton of credit for winning the fire challenge last night...that was possibly even more surprising than the vote.
It seems like Kenny is being edited as a possible ultimate winner...which wouldn't surprise me, he's playing well and people are respecting him for having grown up so much in 3 weeks.

I'm not sure why you guys are just picking up on Randy being a jerk. He's been one (IMO) since day one. Not that I dislike him, but he's always been a jerk. I'm actually surprised he has managed to not rub a bunch of people the wrong way.
Sugar is very easy to sway. I love her, but she can be a easy to sway. I also think she's pretty smart. While I was surprised that she didn't vote for Crystal, I think she thought about the outcome. Voting for Charley keeps her with the last set of people she was with (does she really have any allies with the other group?), and let's face it - they are all younger, and she can see a better opportunity to go farther. With Randy's group, she was going to 5th, at best. With the others - she can end up in the top 3 easily.

The last three blindsides were awesome!! Ace - what a tool!! Crystal is a little out there but I still like her and Kenny. Sugar voted with them to oust Charlie last night so she's leaning to old Fang. Good for her; she's another favorite. Bob built that AMAZING fake idol last night -- man, I hope he gets some milage out of that because it's pretty convincing. Randy is a petty thug. How in the world can anyone build up that much hatred for someone in so short a time?? It takes a lifetime to hate someone that much

Like I said, very early on, I found him somewhat amusing. I remember him making some kind of crack about not being married that I found slighty amusing at the time, but now in retrospect, I get that he was being a jerk then too. I also remember him making a fish hook out of his glasses and at the time I thought that was clever and kind of admired him for it I guess.
Last night his "jerkness" was in full display and even I couldn't miss that. For example, the "bitch" comment to camera when writing down Crystal's name was simply uncalled for. I told my girlfriend as were watching, the the live reunion might be a hoot when Crystal kicks his ass on live TV.

Well his comments about her and the other guying "acting like a gang" led me to believe there may very well be a racial component to his hatred.
I've hated Randy since the beginning. The sooner he and Chrystal are gone, the better. I'm a little upset they got rid of Charlie. He was one of the "good" guys and now I hope Sugar wins to piss off Corrine.
I'm rooting for Kenny or Sugar to win it all. I've liked Kenny since the beginning, in part because he's a felllow nerd, but he also seems to be playing well lately; and I still think Sugar is a hell of a lot smarter than she's acting.

Corinne's dark side is coming out. I heard an interview with Dan a couple of weeks ago and he talked about how rude and bitchy (he didn't use that exact word) Corinne had been. He said she was more arrogrant than anyone else out there, but editing had made her look okay. I definitely think we are seeing that side of her showing up more. Her and Marcus from last week seem to have the attitude that certain people "deserve" to be on the show/win more than others based on looks and popularity. In an interview with Marcus, he actually said that Dan should have stayed longer than Susie because he is better looking, younger, and stronger.
Agreed. Early on, I liked that Randy was so candid- it was a breath of fresh air in what appeared to be a rather boring cast. He was always kind of a jerk, but lately he's comming off as a vindictive jackass.
Loved Bob's fake idol. The fake idol ploy has been used quite a bit, but his looks so authentic it might just work anyway.
I'm kind of surprised Sugar voted for Charlie. I think she should have tried to sway the group to vote for Randy. The old Kota tribe was well aware of her her feelings toward Randy and might have been a little more understanding about her decision. Regardless, she's in a good position. Between having the immunity idol and still being kind of a swing vote (she could keep flipping between the two alliances until both are depleted), she could make it to the finals.

Suagr is great. Cute, spunky, perky, she has pretty much everything.
Crystal's confessional shout was great too, but I was dying laughing when Randy brought up the fake immunity idiol. I was kind of expecting and hoping he wouldn't get voted out so we can see the fallout of the fake-out.
Oh man. That was just great, great stuff.

The jury and reunion show ought to be real interesting with Randy.

I find it stunning how stupid the Survivors always are at the auctions - they never spend all their money. There never are that many items, if you see something you want - bid for it! And if there's something that'll help you in the immunity challenge - bid everything you've got you idiot!
Sugar engineered not only one of the best blindsides ever, but one of the most funny and satisfying blindsides ever. And thanks to Bob, the whole thing came together seemlessly. Randy said and did some horrible things and therefore got the wonderfully embarrassing come-uppance he so richly deserved. The tribe has spoken, bitch
