Surface

Lake Bell is hot and even rubs herself down with petroleum jelly in one episode. ;)

There's also a hottie bikini-clad "teenager" later in the series, and even another one when the kid (poor-man's Elijah Wood) starts working in some lab/aquarium.

Interesting, neat, show. I wish it had gotten renewed for at least another half-season. I don't think its premise could've held up much longer than that. It kind of came out at a time when everyone seemed to be trying to do the "big arc-heavy quasi-scifi shows" like Lost. I enjoyed it and we had some fun here in the old discussion threads, mostly over the kid's ET-ian connection/"love" with the pet "lizard"/iguana"/obvious CGI creature.

Oh, and the funniest part is when:

Lake Bell and a buddy make a deep-sea submersible from scratch, it suffers problems, and they surface in a manner that certainly would've given them The Bends.

It's an ancient sea creature. Lake Bell's character didn't know what one was and she's a marine biologist. Even I know what one is.

Ah. Gotcha. (Explaining references you make to series that many haven't watched in several years is probably a good idea. ;))

I wish they gave the series 26 episodes and that's it. It ended with 17 and with a few more they could have made a really fun series.

This kid and his iguana love is creeeeeeepy.
