We aren't having Christmas until the 28th. The middle sister makes us all wait on her and her kids to come to my Mom's house. She's already had Christmas with her ex-in-laws, while my Mom, my other sister, my husband and I have to wait. So I have to drive to Mom's house (3.5 hrs), pick them up from the airport the night after, and then cook dinner for them, open presents and entertain my sister somehow. Then I have to drive home because I have work on Sunday. I work online but I also have a lot of material on paper that I need to reference. It's just easier to work from my own home. Plus hubby the IT guy is building my Mom a new computer for Christmas and God knows how long it will take him to get it up and working.

This may be small and funny, but I have been having so much bad luck, lol... but I was able to get a stain out of my rug today. I was not expecting it to come out, let alone work out quickly and smoothy. Take joy in the little things.

I do. And it is funny in BOTH our cases, because as I was sleeping Christmas Eve I briefly peed in my recliner again, but as it absorbed it efficiently, NONE of it reached the rug below, so I didn't care.(:
I think I was extra ''que sera sera'' about it due to getting two grocery gift cards from my neighbor that evening. In return , I sent her a ''reciprocal'' CD of Maori warrior-chant music.

My second ''number one'' moment apparently happened when I was dozing during VOYAGER. There may be an connection there. My holey blue bathrobe was large and bulky enough to absorb the residual peepee. I will have to find a stain remover that sprays properly, of course. That and deodorizer spray are getting suspiciously malfunctiony in their inexpensive brands. And designed by sadists.

I have had my problems with 1 and 2 as well and the uh, other stuff. I now have a black robe for obvious reasons. The rug... I used Love My Carpet but the foam kind. It worked. Lol, I never liked it because it used to be just powder and was more of a deodorizer.

I have been having trouble with connecting my computer to my printer. I still cannot scan to my computer but I was able to finally print from my computer. So, I see that as something good. I will figure this out eventually.

Congratulations for sticking with it all this time, that’s impressive. I started playing after someone mentioned it in a post here, but eventually got bored with it (and trying to remember to play it every day). Don’t think I even made it a year.

If I was still going with it, getting it right on the first word would definitely be my off-ramp.

Only had a half-shift today but got to train a new person who was very eager to learn. I like helping people learn the job even though the new people will probably end up replacing us.

When this year started I was in despair, a friend of mine didn't want to be friends anymore and I thought I lost another because of a nasty row. And I felt lonely and bored, with whom would I go to conventions? With whom would I go to the movie? And the fact that my social assistant was on holiday didn't help either, I felt depressed.

But now it's getting better: I reached out to a friend whom I hadn't spoken to in 6 months, because I thought I also lost her. I did try to reach out to her 6 months ago but she didn't reply and I thought she didn't want to be friends anymore, turns out she was just depressed and needed some time for herself, I just wished I knew that, but we decided to rekindle our friendship .

My social assistant is finally working again, I can go to the psychiatry the 14th, and I'm going to spend more time with a friend who's also lonely. 2025 is off to good start!
