Dental checkup went well.
Dentist even asked me about the Premier League.

Worked half a day in my home office. Spent the rest of it just watching TV, baking, and snuggling my cat .
Speaking as a librarian, this is true. People still read novels, but our nonfiction gets almost NO traction. We mostly serve to support welfare self-service websites these days.
Had a good day off for MLK Day. Mostly listened to an audiobook (Troy, Stephen Fry) or inauguration coverage, went to a board meeting (....why? Why? On MLK day, a board meeting? Ugh) and then hung out with a friend watching short films on Criterion.
^*Love * Stephen Fry's voice. He could read a recipe and make it sound like a wonderful short story.
My Liverpool FC license plate frames just arrived.
My last car had Yankees and Mets frames. I thought about going back for them after the car got totalled but I decided against it. I figure I should start repping Liverpool around here instead!

But as I driving home from the office, I was behind a car that had something I haven't seen in at least 20 years.

I have finally taken the initiative to begin planning for a story I've been wanting to make for a long time. I also made multiple new friends.
My finger is improving thanks to a heavier antibiotic, I got a new phone and new outfit today! That last was big because fitting into something from Nordstrom hasn’t happened in a while for me!
Had a long shift to supervise and everyone was pretty cool,
The library has been holding some reservations for me but, because I've not been well, I haven't been able to collect them. Today I emailed to say this and to ask that they continue to hold the books.
I got an email back saying x, a member of staff, would drop off the books on their way home.
Now that's an amazing piece of service.
