Surely something good happened to you today

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday yesterday. :techman:

Happy belated Birthday to @auntiehill and @JD!
Happy birthday, JD! And many more!
Thanks.
I started my new/old job today! My only concern right now is that the person who's going to be in charge of me has the same names as a person who worked there when I was there before and hated me, so I'm really hoping it's not them. It might be a few more days before I actually find out if it's them though, since I have to go through all sorts of training stuff before I go to work with them.

I had a much better day than the owner of this Edmonton car dealership did...

Everything in this house seems broke or about to brake or not work. But at least I still have the TV! and DVD player P.S. this is not my computer, it is broke as well...

As far as I can remember I've never ridden on a train or subway or anything like that in my life.

I love trains. I am a total mass transit geek. Subways, buses, streetcars, the lot. You name it, I’ve ridden it!

And I collect the cards/tickets you use to pay for rides in various cities. I have binders full of them!

Oh man. The 2023 lease came today, & with all this inflation & economy tailspin that's been going on, I was absolutely sure I was going to be looking at a big rent hike. I've been dreading it... & they only popped me for an additional $25. I'm fairly certain my reliable longevity & good tenancy has become a factor

I could kiss those bastards lol :D

Bad news, good news day. Came into work this morning to be greeted by the District Manager, who pulled me into his office to tell me they were eliminating my position in the company, for reasons I won't get into.
The good news is that he wanted to keep me with the company and on the payroll, so he created a "shadow" position in the shop.
After some training, I'm going to become an "Assistant Service Writer", whereby the technicians will come to me with a list of parts that the car they're working on needs and I'll procure them through the store's online parts catalog.
The hours are better and it comes with a pay raise.
