I've never heard of a "mudroom." Is it used for mud wrestling?

Well if that's true, then I've really been misusing (and underutilizing!) them in all the other places I've lived...
Seriously though, I'm not sure if it is a New England thing? I heard mudroom growing up, it's what other people call a foyer (though not the French, you really don't want to take your shoes off in a foyer in France) and others still an entry hall.
I am guessing that it's a room that you enter with your shoes still muddy from the outside...

The title is a reference to the color 'blue' being traditionally associated with the police.
Called my youngest niece and wished her a happy birthday. As of today, she's 8. 
After two months of Brexit related unemployment, I got an email confirming I was successful in my interview for a new job. Home working, an actual job title (that isn't just a euphemism for 'phone monkey') and an 8k payrise.
Several good things:
- had a great breakfast
- went to church
- talked to my dad on the phone
- watched new eps of Blue Bloods and Discovery
- got my brand spankin' new Internet routers to work!

This really surprised me.
Lucked out and got my Secret Santa gift from my Secret Santa early on another forum, a pair of eshop cards.
Ended up getting Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Anodyne and Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King.

Got a free year of United Club membership (because of the pandemic). So now I'm paid up until the end of 2021.
Not sure if I'll actually be able to USE it, but it's nice to know that United takes care of its loyal customers.
(In many areas of my life, I am EXTREMELY brand-loyal. This is one of the times where it's paid off!)

Yes, I feel great now that I don't have 2 1/2 feet of hair anymore! I had the cut off the tail! I feel so much lighter now!
Sang two of my favorite hymns in church this morning.
My 87 year old Mom got her second shot of the vaccine; she had some mild flu symptoms afterwards but is doing well. 
I started learning SQL today. Most of it made sense to me. 
Got free groceries at my store today!
(When I went to pay the bill, I was told that a "Thank You Credit" covered it all. I'm guessing that Corporate is thanking us for...something. I know not what, but I'm not complaining! )

I got so much done today! Spent 3 hours on my SQL class, got in a Pilates class, wrote over 300 words on my next book, hand washed my Pilates outfit, and later tonight I'm planning to do some watercolor studies.
