Surely something good happened to you today

You used more unique words than 99% of Grammarly users.

7,064 unique words used

And finally! A Grammarly sale that ends on the 10th of this month rather than the end of a month. I get paid on the 3rd of every month.

Funny, I got the exact same message!! IE that I used more unique words than 99% of their customers. I wonder how many people received that message.

Same number? 7064?

I have noticed that you use a more diverse vocabulary than other people tend to use.

I remember that last month they mentioned a number in the 2000s and I was thinking that it was about 10% of many 80s English dictionaries.

I was a bit surprised to see over 7000 unique words.

Yesterday got a bunch of used furniture from friends if my mother’s. A king size bed, a couple coffee tables and end tables. Got some pretty decent furniture on the cheap, total of $360 for all of that.

But there was not time in the day to construct the bed so now there are pieces of a large bed scattered around my tiny bed and the closet is difficult to access.

It seems a little high to me too. About twenty years ago my English was rather poor and to remedy to that I started reading books on a regular basis. Each time I saw a new word I would highlight it and later look it up in a dictionary. After I finished the book I would count how many new words I had highlighted and even when my English was at its poorest I never went over two hundred words! So to get to 7000 I would have needed to read 35 BOOKS, at least, and most likely much more than that since the new words would become less and less frequent. So that's why I am somewhat dubious about the veracity of that number.

Sorry, I know next to nothing about Pokemon. But if it's in this thread, then it must be good, so congratulations anyway! :D
Yep. It's only 10 levels away from the highest level you can get in Pokemon Go. Thanks! :)

Levels and Rewards and what not in Pokemon Go

What sort of Asian beetles? Do you mean Asian ladybugs? Those are actually rather useful: they eat nothing but greenflies, dozends per day. If you can take a photo of the fungus, I might perhaps be able to identify it. I used to work as a gardener for a few years to earn the fees for university :) It still comes unexpectedly handy, sometimes.

Good thing today: a very old cactus I inherited from my grandpa started to flower =)
Only learned recently the flowers that come on cacti bought at stores are strawflowers and just glued onto them!

the Asian beetles I'm talking about are these little black bugs, about the same size as a ladybug, but are all black. When they feel threatened, they raise their little front legs as if to be more menacing. They eat plants. Every plant.
Sounds evil. Fortunately, we don't have those (yet) in Europe.
Good thing today: I've just sent a parcel and for the first time there was no mile-long queue at the post office =)
