Frequently, these items are stolen because they are easy to pocket and easy to resell.

I've been offered odd bottles of ordinary toiletries pulled out of someone's pocket and obviously just taken from a supermarket and some of the more... shall we call them dedicated? professional? shoplifters sell through carboot sales. The local discount supermarket had someone steal some bunches of flowers recently. The thief just walked down the street offering them to passers-by.

My local CVS store is now keeping their soap under lock and key, for Christ's sake. Who the hell shoplifts soap? Someone who's poor and dirty?

One, easy to pocket. Two, often an initiation for further theft.

I got my car inspection done today, and it only took about 20 minutes and didn't cost me anything.

Despite not feeling well I was able to take two important calls today. One call was from my doctor, and she said my blood sugar went down even more and my cholesterol too. The other was about my rent. Something i needed clarification with which led me to being able to sign and send out the related document. I also sent out for groceries.

Last Friday my neighbors Crystal and Michael treated me to an early birthday dinner at a lovely local Mediterranean place. Sunday I had lunch with my dad and his wife Ingrid. So I got two free meals in one weekend.

A couple of days ago I went plant shopping with my neighbor and good friend Crystal. She bought me a lovely houseplant as a birthday gift. And yesterday I got a check in the mail from one of those class-action settlements, for a grand total of $13.46! Well, it'll pay for a Subway sandwich.

Rented Luigi's Mansion 2 hd from the library and got 60 gold eShop coins from it. Started up the game too and like it so far.

Nintendo put out a new music app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. It's pretty good so far. Been relaxing with it and listening to some music on it.

It rained today, so I don't have to water the yard. It will probably rain most of the day.

I hope we still get trick or treaters.

My ophthalmologist found no diabetic problem in my eyes. Yay! Then we decided to go forward with plans for cataract surgery because my eyesight won't get any better without it.
