Yeah, Season 10 definitely wasn't one of their better ones.

That was a pretty cool trailer. It looks like the Darkness most be able to posses people somehow, judging by the black veiny people who looked like they were attacking other people.

I think it's less possession and more corruption, like the same effect as the Mark of Cain only with less restraint and done in mass. Like the Mark of Cain caused its wearers to be violent and turn into demons because some of the Darkness was seeping through it, and now that it's free it's doing that to everyone.
