Now thats more the hell like it.
Pretty much every thing in this episode worked, some more then others, but I didn't have a problem with any aspect of this episode.
Nice to see the show (at least in the mythology episodes) really showing some nice atmosphere.
Yup. The replacements have yet to live up to the original.Performances across the board (with one minor exception) were solid, some very much so. I still don't care that much for the new Meg (she really doesn't share the same mannerisms that Nikki or Jared put into the character).
I REALLY liked the way they went out. They went out together and for a cause they fully believed in. But what I liked best about it is that it was ALL FOR NOTHING! That took balls by the writers. They sacrificed themselves speciofically so that Sam and Dean could kill Lucifer and it didn't happen. You knew it wouldn't happen but too many times writers find a way to have m"meaning" even in situations like this. Well, bot this time. They died for nothing essentially. I'll be SEVERELY disappointed if they don't show a lot of massive guilt on behalf of Dean and Sam in the future about this.As for Jo and Ellen, well when spoilers revealed that two characters would die and you saw that they were part of this episode, well you new they were gator chow. But they handled both deaths, and more importantly the emotional impact between both mother and daughter, and reflected between both the brothers and Dean to both Jo and to Bobby really well. I was afraid that both were gonna die fighting in a battle scene, but I really liked this much better. Some nice closure to both characters, and this episode (unlike the last to feature Jo) manage to really show that she had really grown up.
I'm not.. gotta build up to that and I don't think we're quite there yet.The one thing that did disappoint me, Is I really wanted the show to be tough and take out bobby in this episode. I think to have Demons attack his place (and leave it in the state that Dean found it in the future would really, really be powerful and very shocking.
All good stuff.Loved the return of the classic look of Reapers, loved Ellen and Castiel doing shots, and Bobby's photo op.
I liked that they used Jo in this regard rather than Sam.Loved the guys actually talking about it being a trap, and why Sam shouldn't go. Loved the use of hell hounds (though I really, really wanted to see Sam's reaction to Dean being taken down). As that really should have hit home with him in a way that really needs to be seen, but of course using Jo to show the seriousness of the show worked well.
The actor who played him is one of my favorite character actors on TV.Crowley worked fine, and those early scenes worked in this episode nicely.
Yup. Was annoyed we have to wait until Jan.Very nice setup for the next episode, and nice way to end the 8 week break.
Mot likely true but I hope not.I think are ratings are going to suck though as we of course have premptions due to football, and I would expect our lead in audience (thanks to New Moon and hitting much of the same target audience) well be hit some what hard.
Probably was my favorite of the season so far.Not my favorite of the season but certainly Top Three or four.
