We're back to the serious business tonight. I hear it's a good one. :bolian: Ghost diseases that stop the heart of the victim. Castiel doesn't return until next week, but he comes back with a vengeance.

Hmmmm......not as good as last week's. Monster Movie was a classic. This one not so much. There were some funny as hell moments--nothing's going to top the "you're toxic after half a burrito" Sam--but something felt a little off about this one. The ghost hunt and kill came across flat IMO. What is it about the sixth episode of each season? They always seem to fall flat. Last year's was Red Sky at Morning. I did love the sense of foreboding at the end, but I want to get back to the mytharc. I know they're going to delve into what happened to Sam after Dean died starting in episode 8 or 9. I'm anxious for that.

Oh my God, they already have the "Eye of the Tiger" clip from the end up at youtube. Apparently, Jared was supposed to cue Jensen's lines in the car so he'd stop lip synching and do the rest of the scene, but as a prank Jared never gave him the cue. He thought Jensen would sit there like a dumb ass, but Jensen kept going. No one expected him to climb out of the car and keep going. Priceless. :guffaw:You can totally hear Jared laughing with the crew. He's the one that yells "nice one, Jenny."

Eye of the Tiger

Oh well it had to happen. Evil Santa a pussy, headless Gordon okay, spitting up teeth mildly annoying. But Reptiles Fucking freak the shit out of me. I don't think I will ever, ever be able to watch that scene again.

Well that was pretty good until the ending, which was how shall I say it weak.....

I did love Dean's last two fears though pretty much sums up the two things he fears the most. Sam turning evil and being drug back down to hell.

Nice to see that. I also loved the gross out autopsy scene which makes me think of Bloodlust and there teasing of each other.

Well so far, I love this season and even this episode (which was weaker) is still a hell of a lot better then No exit and Red Sky at Morning (though Skin was better in my opinion).

I totally think Sam's flash of yellow eyes in the last scene wasn't Dean's imagination. Sam's somewhat detached sense of calm may be indicative of that. Dean's definitely terrified of Sam becoming evil. That's for darn sure.

Damn, how hot did Jared look in his denim shirt during the last scene? I can't believe he's the same stringy kid from season one.

Oh no! Seriously? You have a full on phobia, huh? Yikes. :alienblush:

And yes. Just to name a few examples of how I react.

When I worked as a bartender some one brought in a snake (in a box) and approached me, they started opening the lid and told me what it was. I jumped over the bar and ran out of work. I didn't go back that day.

My sister found one in her yard, when I went to visit I stayed at a hotel and wouldn't go to her house.

When I was 16 I tried to get into an R rated movie but they wouldn't let me so instead I got tickets to Raiders of the lost arc. Yeah that snake Pit did wonders for me. I was so scared I couldn't move, ushers had to drag my screaming body out of the theatre.

I was at a beach in California and I noticed all these small lines going across the path in the sand dunes between bushes, my friends said Oh it just someone moving their walking stick back and forth. When they finally told me what it was. I froze and had to pulled out of the area. THey literally dragged me about half a mile out of the dunes.

I was backing out of my car port one day, and in the rear view mirror I saw out of the corner of my eye a brief flash of something long and slim moving near the back window. I thought it was snake and I jumped out of my moving vehicle. It ran into a ditch, and I saw that t was in fact a cat that had got inside through the window, and what I had saw was its tail.

So no snakes don't bother me much at all.

Oh hell I didn't notice that.

Oh bloody hell. I actually hope that was Dean's imagination, because otherwise the way its played it really bothers me.

So far we have no evidence of Sam going bad, sure he has used his abilities, but doesn't appear to have ever lost himself in them. This liked more like Sam was absolutely aware and in control of that darker nature. Like he was testing to see if Dean noticed. That doesn't seem to jibe with what we have seen so far.

Though, there is one bad thing about what we have seen with his abilities and what we have seen of others. All of them got headaches, until they mastered an ability and then. But once you gave in to the power, those headaches disappeared and the rest was easy. Its when we saw Jake fully turn. And what did happen in that warehouse, Sam for the first time felt no pain, no headache. And the one place I did feel the actress playing Ruby did a good job is her sudden interest and excitement that Sam had reached that level.. Everything else at that time (the victim, Sam's conversations) were just distractions.

Of course it wasn't Dean's imagination. Too much fun for it to be the real thing. :bolian: Sam is probably the 66th seal to be opened. Reason enough to pull Dean out of the pit. He's the only one who can reach Sam, as it were. Some of the angels probably want to kill Sam outright to prevent it, but Castiel recognizes the potential good in Sam and how he also fights evil.

I just don't think I by it. Ava gave herself over to the power her eyes never turned. Ansom was a bastard who thrived on his abilitiess and they never turned. Jake who was the last man standing and had mastered his abilities (or at least a couple, which is one more then Sam) and freely given himself over to his dark destiny never had his eyes turn.

And while I do believe Sam is a seal (or the one who needs to specifically break one) I just don't buy into how the scene play. It reminded me exactly of Meg in Sam's body when she let her guard down to let the audience know what was going on. And that doesn't seem to be anything that has been currently going trough Sam's mind and behavior.

I didn't enjoy this one. In my opinion it is difficult for a dramatic series to do a light fluff piece and this one was overly proud of itself. The gags/humor were forced and obvious. I'm sure the writers thought it'd be hilarious to have Jensen act like a scaredy cat but it failed to work for me.

The supernatural plot wasn't that interesting or creative. I don't know why the show is determined to have all the ghosts look like humans with not even some effort to give them a spectre-like feel even a bit of a white powdery effect would help.

The jeopardy was non existent.

Sam's a Winchester. He's special. Equal potential for great good or monstrous evil in Sammy. Damn he looked fine in that denim shirt at the end. I like evil Sammy.
