I doin'
good, John Picard.
Mswood, Sam was restrained. How could he have drank his own blood to fortify himself when his arms and legs were tied down? I doubt he'd have started lapping it up in front of Dean, you know?
Where as Sam is becoming more and more obsessed with doing what has to be done regardless of the cost.
Precisely. That's how I saw it, Bob. I found Sam's "Why is
he so special?" when he and Dean were arguing about what to do about Adam and accusing each other of being jealous a very telling remark.
We don't have it easy, so why should he? He hid it in the guise of helping Adam, but was Sam
really thinking of Adam? It's hard to tell. Sam's on the slippery slippery super slippery slope. Dean was really thinking of Adam when he wanted to kidnap him to Bobby's.
Of course it was really Adam, but if the ghoul could access memories I assume it was doing a pretty good imitation.

You feel like you met Adam even though we didn't. Jake Abel really turned on a dime well with his character's transition.
It certainly did seem like Dean isn't at all happy about Sam following in John's footsteps, and he's taken a step away from worshipping John.
He's taken a big step away. He got to the point where he could call John an obsessed bastard in a dream, but never in front of anyone. Not yet. He defends John to everyone else. I have a feeling that wall will soon fall.
