Supernatural 3x9 "Malleus Maleficarum" SPOILERS

Well, we're back with a new episode tonight, kids. I wish Smallville would have to compete against LOST, or CSI, or Grey's, or The Office once in a while but no such luck.

The directors' cut clips for tonight's episode looked intense, much more so than I expected. I thought it was going to be light fluffy filler, but apparently not. Here's hoping I can get back online to comment. My internet's been nearly nonexistent for 4 days. What an annoyance.

Sorry to hear that Dorian. Boy times sure change. Internet my lifeline to the world.

I also feared mightily over this episode and watched 2 clips and was like ok, thats actually really damn good. Especially the open and honest conversation between Dean & Sam.

Hope the rest works as well.

And we better at least get better ratings then One Tree Hill (I Love the big ratings their first rerun got  ), not to mention Reaper in March. 4 more hours for me, unless its up quickly .

Ben Edlund scores another one. I loved the conversation between Dean and Ruby at the end. Loved the twist. It explains a lot. IMO, Ruby is definitely the more successful of the two additions, and she's got some seriously good chemistry with Ackles.

A determined Sam is a scary thing, but I love it. Bunny rabbits and teeth and maggots oh my. Gross. :wtf:

God, I want it now.

Ok, I lied.

I wanted it 4 weeks ago.

So, now we see another reason Dean is going to go, ok maybe I don't want to die.

And I can't wait to see the scene where She tells Dean she can't save him and that he needs to help her prepare Sam.

Oh yeah, One Tree Hill is back. I forget, it's your favorite right? ;)
You know me to well. I am all about the love for One Tree Hill. :guffaw:

Hush your mouth.

Damn only three more folks. Unless we get real lucky.

Itunes, Mr. Adventure. It is your friend. Hey mswood, a miracle has occurred. Some of the TWOPper insane faithful have actually admitted that Ruby is a halfway decent addition. That's some progress where the insane ones are concerned. BWAH!

Agh! I totally forgot there was a new episode tonight! Grr, damn you ABC, why did you have to air Lost at the same time? :brickwall:

So ABC could advertise movies coming out on the following Friday; Grey's reruns suck ass in the ratings. Shame on you for forgetting. whacks Skywalker with a wet noodle

Whacks Skywalker with a two by four. Screw the wet noodle.

Yeah, thursday is the most lucrative night for ad revenue, so you want your strongest performers out, and ABC is currently sucking ass in ratings, many are doing close to good CW numbers and that is simply awful for one of the big three.

But Lost, while it hasn't been a huge hit for a while (though we less competition in the market place it could be this season (God crosses fingers so that doesn't happen). But it scores excellent with the demo.

It was a smart move, that pisses me off.

Finally finished watching it, and based on sides I was dreading this episode. But I really liked it.

Its not the best of the season (Hi, my name is Fresh Blood), or even as good as a Supernatural Christmas. But I think its one of the better of the season.

What I really liked is, two fold. One its showing that ever since Fresh Blood the brothers are being more honest and open to each other and actually communicating (at least as openly as they ever do).

I liked that they are really starting to push for Dean to want to fight to stay alive (even if he can't be the one to do it).

And I like Ruby, the actress doesn't have the skill that Jared and Jensen brig to their character, but she's bad.

I liked the gore (yeah, gore, thought the CGI arm wounds were rather weak).

A very nice solid return to the season after the break.

Well as *******, I mean Dorian knows I am obsessing about the ratings last night.

SN managed a disappointing 2.949 million viewers the 2nd lowest of the season (with Fresh Blood, in my opinion the best of the season scoring lower).

Smallville was also at its 2nd lowest of the season with 3.81 million viewers.

But just to show I am not a glass half empty type.

Supernatural was only down less then one percent (.71) from its season opener.

While Smallville was down 26.59% from it's season opener. If you want to compare it the week SN started its still down considerable 17.0%.

And how does this compare to the first week of February sweeps last year.

SN last year 3.368 million compared to 2.949 million a drop of 12.44 percent.

Smallville last year 4.909 million compared to 3.81 million a drop of 22.39 percent.

See I can see the silver lining.

Ratings remained steady, even against Lost. It'll be all right, mswood. They'll go up a little next week. Plus, there were sports preemptions.

Finally saw it. Very good episode, I can't thank Kripke enough for adding the awesome Ben Edlund to the team.

"Why's the rabbit always get screwed in the deal?!" Classic.

Ben Edlund's writing is really witty. I always enjoy his episodes. Next week, finding out about Bobby's past through the nightmares, is going to be fascinating.

I am actually not really looking forward to that episode, Yawn.....

And the funny thin is I love Bobby. Nor am I that thrilled with the Grounded Hog Day episode.

But, hopefully they engage me. After all I was dreading Night Shifter and that was one of my favorite episode of the 2nd season.
