The simplest way I've been able to explain how much I enjoyed Gunn's Superman is "it made me believe a man could fly again."

I did. Which honestly wasn’t what I was expecting. Maybe some things will suffer on a rewatch, but I thought the tone and pacing of the movie were pretty much perfect.
If there is something that I definitely want to see again, is the second half of Jor-El’s message. Some bells went off for me, but I need another, quieter viewing with subtitles before solidly commenting on it.
I wouldn't call Cavill's version boring, but Snyder did make him look too dark and depressed at times. Still, I enjoyed him in the role, but Corenswet is monumentally better.
