^^I agree, I liked his Dawn of the Dead remake but everything he's done since has been a misfire. At this point with the Superman films DC and Warner might've been better off picking somebody with a more proven track record.

I'm going to see that other movie, Immortals, most likely. Looks fun and it'll be a chance to evaluate him in a lead role pre-Superman. Short of going to imdb I'm not sure he's done many, if any films, let alone headlined.

Can't wait to see those first official shots of him in the Super suit. Hopefully I'll have a better reaction to it than I did Reynolds in the GL suit.

I would be wary about "Immortals" as a pre-judge of acting ability from Cavil. I know people who have read the script and absolutely hated it. Just piping up because I remember all the fallout people had towards Zach Snyder after "Sucker Punch" turned out to be a "disaster" so I wouldn't go into "Immortals" thinking this will be a great opportunity to see what Cavil would be like as Clark Kent or whatever. I'd just go see the movie without any preconceived notions.

That curl always looks dorky on an actual human being; they've largely abandoned it in comics.

I'm not sure what comics you've been reading lately Dennis but Superman still has the spit curl. I'm looking at my covers of the New Krypton trades, War of the Supermen, and Secret Origin and they all show Supes with the curl. I'm pretty sure I've seen it on him in "Grounded" as well. Unless you're talking about the curl as a general practice on other characters. Peter Parker still has his curl...only it's not displayed as prominently as it has been that case you would be correct. In Superman's case though it is there.

If they can keep the curl looking fairly natural, as it does in those Cavil pics, I'm fine with it. It's just the thick, perfectly sculpted curls we saw on Reeve and Routh that I think need to go.
