Superman (casting, rumors, pix till release)

I don't know Mila was great in "Black Swan" and isn't getting enough credit for her performance as Lily in my opinion (yes I know she's won some critics awards and what not but she's still being overshadowed by Nat and rightly so). I just don't see her as Lois. She could handle the material easily. I'm hoping we get an announcement in the next couple of weeks.

Even while watching Black Swan, she has a very distinctive voice that I just cannot get past in any other role. She's got the attitude, but I agree I also don't see her as Lois.

We don't know for sure that Lex will be the villain. I'm hoping for Brainiac or somebody.

If this is an origin story and it looks like it is and some of it based on Birthright and other origin source material I think it's a pretty safe bet that we'll see Lex. Possibly Brainiac as well...although everyone seems fixated on him. Probably because we've not seen him in a live action film.

Well if anything, maybe BrainIAC will be set up for a sequel if we dont get him right away, depending how this movie performs, that is. But with Nolan, Goyer and Snyder steering this ship. How bad could it possibly go?

Henry Cavill has already been cast as Superman. Manganiello was apparently in the running, but lost out to Cavill.

Ups i didnt know that. A damn shame. Manganiello looked the part, well clearly Znyder was looking for younger Superman so he went with Caville.

Based on Paul Cornell's current run on Action Comics, I'd like to see either Zooey Deschanel or Anna Friel as Lois.

If we're allowed to consider color-blind casting, I think Gugu Mbatha-Raw would make a fantastic Lois.

Anna Friel would make a great Lois, but I think she's outside the age range the studio will look at (she's seven years older than Cavill).

Zooey Deschanel has a great look for Lois, but her screen persona is so low key and laid back that I can't see her as the kind of feisty, hard-charging, Type A personality that Lois is.

Origin story or not, Lex doesn't have to be THE main bad guy. Lex could just be an antagonistic character the first movie. How about a Kryptonian bad guy to lead. I'm fine with Zod or Brainiac.

Afterall Joker isn't in every Batman film. Iron Man didn't lead with Mandarin and Green Lantern isn't using Sinestro first.

My vote is for Teri Hatcher as LoisShe is still hot. Just kidding, yeah Lois is type A. Anyway Biel or Kunis are probarly my favorite from the frontrunners.They are smilller age as Cavile so they would be good choice as Lois.
