I’m assuming he was concealing his existence until he decided to approach Bruce at the end of ZSJL. Remember Snyder’s universe is one where heroes (using the term generously) have been reluctant to reveal themselves out of fear, or have abandoned humanity in disgust. It’s not a particularly welcoming world for a Martian to show his face.

Swanwick/J’onn did appear to be doing what good he could on the downlow, helping Lois with her investigation in BvS that led to Luthor, approaching her in the guise of Martha in ZSJL to help her get past her grief. Not to mention his military role. But I think he just wasn’t ready to out himself as an alien, even in the face of the Black Zero crisis.
The Arrowverse version was on Earth for centuries, and spent a decade just pretending to be Hank Henshaw before he revealed himself in Supergirl.
I must be the only one who hasn't seen either of them. I don't understand the appeal. Then again I haven't been to a movie theater post-Covid and I don't subscribe to any streaming services and I don't have at Smart TV that allows for streaming. I have a blu-ray player that's gathering dust hooked up to my television. I get more enjoyment popping in a CD after work and listening to music.
I haven't seen them either, but they're definitely on my list for the next times I subscribe to HBOMax and Peacock.

Man of Steel is a four issue limited series that covers the post crisis origin of Superman. You can see the passage of time as Lex Luthor's hair is falling out in clumps. When Clark comes of age, the "Eradicator" stars projecting Holograms of Jor-El that seems like a Ghost hunting the Kent Farm. I believe that Johnathan and Martha hear an alien language, but Clark hears a tale of woe from his papa about the last days of Krypton. I Believe Clark really starts to Zone out at one point, so Johnathan attacks the ship/AI with a spade and saves his boy from full conversion into a Kryptofascist.

Byrne also did further historical limited serieses called "Smallville", "Krypton" and "Metropolis", that helped us colour inside the lines as to what is and what is not "Post Crisis".

I've read Man of Steel (Not the others), but don't remember that.

Continue to tell your failing MCU-butthurt self that lie. The Barbie film took a globally popular toy line--already a hook--and subverted clutral perceptions expectations while simultaneously giving some respectful nods to the multi-generational characters / tropes. Oppenheimer was sold on the strength of one of this century's best director-writers, who already succeeded in the WW2 genre with Dunkirk, so Nolan and the subject matter were responsible for sending moviegoers to theaters at record levels. Oh, I will gladly remind you that Oppenheimer is the highest grossing WW2/related film in history. He is that kind of filmmaker.

Yes, yes, sad one, I know the mere mention of Nolan's own appeal--who directed and co-wrote what is arguably the greatest of all superhero films with The Dark Knight--causes you to roll in the floor in some Marvel-defensive fit, but the facts are there to be found, and again, you have not presented one concrete fact to support your whining, which--once again--is all designed to explain the recent era Marvel Studios underperformers and flops.

...and your other claim--that only "moms and girls" saw and made Barbie the phenomenal success that it was is some rather ultra misogynistic crap unsupported by fact, similar to your utterly disrespectful claim that the Academy only awarded Ledger the Oscar for The Dark Knight not due to the power of this performance as the Joker, but due to a mythical "gay agenda", which had "Hollywood" wanting to, but afraid to award him for Brokeback Mountain, so they gave it to him for The Dark Knight as some sort of secret, "gay agenda" consolation prize. Quite the sickening fantasy, all due to your eternal hatred of the fact DC movie actors were recognized by the Academy in ways no MCU actors have, and its unlikely they ever will..

Yeah, that is all you, and part of your pattern of believing the worst kind of antisocial fantasies and pushing them as some ever-failing protective measure for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Anwar, you--and other males admitting they enjoyed the movie (read: supported it as part of the films success)--do not exist. You must be a ghost or some illusion projected from Talos IV.
So you can't actually counter any of the stuff proven about how Greta and Nolan deliberately made sure the "Wait till streaming" thing couldn't affect their movies and continue with this "Folks actually care who the director is" nonsense. And you ignore the very real fact that the backlash over Brokeback Mountain was the only reason Ledger didn't get the award then and the Academy realized if they didn't award the Dark Knight they'd never be able to. Otherwise they'd never have given Dark Knight a glance.

Honestly, after years of their arrogance its fun to watch these vapid Marvel fanatics just completely self destruct.

Anyways, got Superman 2025 on digital and enjoyed it greatly from the comfort of my living room. Can't wait to see where this all goes next. I'm hoping we finally see a live action version of Braniac in Supergirl or somewhere down the line with the Super films. We've seen Lex Luthor enough.

Back on topic - streaming? It’s still playing in my theater. Last weekend I did see two other movies. The 1990 TMNT and Nobody 2. There really is nothing new I want to see so I think it’s time for 8th viewing!!!

I am glad people are seeing a 2nd time are appreciating it more. There is a lot to absorb on first viewing. Most of the first half hour is setting up reveals for the ending. I never really talk about things I did not like. Depending on the viewing my opinion on the length of the Ultraman fight changes. There are different sections to it. At certain points it feels like it is done and he returns. Ultimately the fight is really between Superman and Luthor. Which ends face to face. So showing of different fighting moves does not add much to the story. I think something there could have been trimmed down.

I was away for a long time and the same posters are pulling the same crap. Use the Ignore function.

I'd love to get a "Superman Family" movie annually. Superman, Supergirl, Superman and Supergirl, The Super-Man, Conner Kent: Superboy, Superman's Pal Jimmy Olson, Lois Lane, etc.

Ordered the 4K steelbook.... which doesn't come out for another month.

The Superman I-IV 4K steelbook box set is being re-released as an Amazon exclusive, although currently it's unavailable for purchase.

(Sorry, there’s not a Pitch Meeting vid about tedious off-topic pissing matches, so this’ll have to do.)
I have to say though, Lex does say on-screen why he doesn't kill Superman right away. Funny enough, the far greater logical hole in Lex's scheme doesn't even get adressed.

Lex wants to the world to fear Superman, so he uses his totally obedient clone of Superman to break into the Fortress of Solitude in hopes of finding something to incriminate Superman. With that goal in mind, this is not the most efficient use of a totally obedient clone of Superman.

I like Pitch Meeting vids, but the entire shtick is premised on movies being sloppily and arbitrarily plotted. There’s no gag otherwise. So I don’t take the nitpicking and little swipes as anything but good-humored fun. :)
