I hope he's not relegated to just flashbacks.
Like I said, though, in-story they were designed independently, so they shouldn't be too close.
Not totally independently. Winn knew about Superman's costume, obviously.
I had a similar thought. I don't think we know for sure that we'll actually be seeing him as Superman, all we know so far is that Clark is coming to visit Kara. Maybe he'll just be there as a civilian and he'll leave all of the superheroing to Kara.Maybe they'll only show him texting Kara so they won't have to worry about his costume.
One thing the New 52 did really well was make Jimmy and Clark contemporaries age wise. It really showed that they were friends who liked to hang out with each other and do normal things rather than just helping fight crime together. I'd like to see this in the show--how does Kara feel when her boyfriend and cousin whom she hasn't seen in a long time start reminiscing about old times and sharing in-jokes that she "had to be there" to find amusing? On the Clark side, I would like to see how strong his friendship with Jimmy is, despite Olsen "breaking free" by moving away. Really play up how Jimmy is as much his family as a non-Lois human can get.
They did? I thought the initial announcement just said that Clark would be visiting Kara.^ They specifically said that he's coming to National City AS Superman.
“Greg, Ali and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl,” says Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”
Well, SOMEBODY has to take Krypto home...^ As far as I know, he's appearing in the first two episodes in the present.
YES! Somebody else who's picked up my pet theory that it is Krypto in the pod!Well, SOMEBODY has to take Krypto home...![]()
