That's the HD version. I use the RealPlayer plugin with IE to right click the video and download it as a .mp4 to my computer.
Paramount got on that quick. It's already taken off of youtube. :( Which means I don't get to see it...

It's up on the official Trek movie website, now.

Thanks, and all of the people capturing shots thanks to you too.

Hmmm no. Nero (the Borg) goes back in time to prevent Kirk, the most famous Starfleet captain (the Federation) from being born. Yawn! It has the Terminator and FC elements, unoriginal. A "reset button" movie.

Short but sweet trailer :)

Wonder what that beam thing is doing to earth (is that Starfleet Acadamy?)

It doesn't look or play like previous Trek movies at all, so who cares about a couple of plot similarities? Certainly not the millions of previously-uninterested new viewers who will be essential to making any future Trek project viable.

Thanks for admitting the plot similarities.

However I don't think the "American Idol" audience or the Britney Spears/Paris Hilton crowd is going to be all that interested in a movie called "Star Trek". This movie is a very sad attempt at trying to copy Star Wars. Trek has been around for 40 years. It is in syndication around the world daily. With so much Trek in the past. There is not going to be sudden "finding" of Trek by people who for the pat 40 years have found it uninteresting.

This movie is clearly a Star Wars wanna be. Transformers meets EP1. Sorry to burst your bubble.

They have to do the alternate reset button style because it gives them a chance to do this sappy "lost boy becomes a hero" story. yawn. It has a look and feel of Transformers and Ep1

You would think for 3 million dollars they would of put out a better commercial. Where was Nimoy? Abram kept saying they needed Nimoy or the movie wouldn't of happened. I guess putting him in the commercial was asking too much?

Trekweb? Oh please if it wasn't for the one guy who does all the new info the site would of died years ago. Steve is gone and Archie is a demon god with delusions of grandeur.

How can it be a Star Wars wannabe?

It has to go back in time and erase the years in which it proceeded Star Wars.

Oh wait... time travel has been done before...*yawn*

Cliches are that for a reason - because more often than not they work and people consistantly are interested in them. That's why something as badly written as the Da Vinci Code sold so many copies.

HAHA!
This is where we see Old Spock saying "Jim"!

How much of the movie have you seen?

Sigh! Another one with the "lets wait and see". So much is known and yet they still can't see.

Just because we draw different conclusions than you does not mean we can't see. Don't like what you see? Fine. Won't be going to see the film? Also fine. Just don't tell other people they're wrong to be optimistic.

Did you see the movie yet?

How much of BATTLEFIELD EARTH did you need to see in trailers before you made up your mind about not catching it in the theater?

And yet, if you were old enough to do so, I'd guess you still ventured out to catch the original BSG theatrical release of the pilot in sensurround even after suffering through the run of the show for free on TV.

Strange how people make up their minds based on not enough or too much info
