Stuff that make you wonder but not own thread worthy

It'd be weird since unlike other hosts, he isn't dead yet.
I guess it's the same thing with the guy from "Invasive Procedures." We didn't see him show up but could he have shown up?
Would Riker's name be William Odan? Sounds unpleasant. I think the slug was more running the show anyway so probably doesn't matter. I do love the idea of a piece of Riker stuck in that slug's body for all time now, only being let out every few decades into a meatsuit for a chance to trombone.

In "Booby Trap", we see the Promellian crew dead at their posts..but still sitting upright. Shouldn't they be slumped over? Who dies sitting up?

What about a story where holograms from different shows have to team up. Moriarty, Vic Vontaine, EMH1 and EMH2. Or do you get Moriarty as a villain? Would Moriarty care about hologram rights? Would there be prejudice between holograms and androids? If you stick the EMH in an android body does he look at himself differently? Do they have an acronym for artificial lifeforms like SHAI (synthetics, holograms, AI)? What about if you die but you're memory engrams are copied to a synthetic body or a hologram? Do people just go home and resume their old life or do they make a law that it's some new lifeform and you have to start from scratch?

I just watched "Times Squared" again the other day and I appreciated there was at least three nods to prior episodes/films. And then I watched "Q Who" and that has at least one nod to a prior episode. It was nice. I guess even 60s Trek had already done nods to itself back then but I like when they put in the effort.

^Wouldn't even be surprised if 60's Trek also contained lots of nods to yet earlier works, nods that elude most viewers these days because they haven't seen (or read) those earlier works (but the original audience would have).

I always thought Data would find a way to have Lal, who he had stored in himself, somehow transferred into the ship's computer holodeck matrix, once he realized the whole deal with Moriarty could go on so long, & then eventually after she'd lived again as a hologram, he'd find a way to put her back into an android body, which would open up the hologram coup, of all the folks like Moriarty wanting the same procedure

I love cross-tech ideas like that... For example, there shouldn't be any reason why if Geordi's visor tech can communicate to his tricorder in The Enemy, then Data's android eyes should be able to be merged with the Visor too. It's all just Federation tech. Geordi should be able to access the traditionally human type vision that Data has (albeit with his greater power & accuracy)

Frankly, at some point all the advantages of Data's vision AND Geordi's vision should be equally obtainable to both.

What ever happened to Tom Riker? I saw this brought up in a different , unrelated thread.
After Ro Laren was captured, she and Tom up in the same prison camp. In the chaos following the destruction of Cardassia, they escaped in a shuttle and hid out on Qualor 2, where Tom's dabo mastery allowed him to quickly clean out the Quark's franchise, then purchase it a la "The Royale". After several prosperous years, he and Ro retired to their own little moon, raised several scrappy offspring, and lived happily ever after.

My idea, which was partly a way to keep the Maquis thread going but also to round up TNG side characters in a story, was that Ro, Tom, Nick Locarno and other Maquis were drafted by Starfleet to be some unit, maybe with Ben Maxwell, maybe with Eric Pressman. I just like the idea of these characters verbally sparring.
Or I think someone else came up with this one but that Tom would have been working with/for Kira when she, Odo, and Garak have to help Damar. They liberate him from prison or something. I don't mean he'd need to be in the DS9 episodes but like if there were scenes between the episodes that's where it would happen.
He probably just died offscreen in that prison. It's probably more realistic but it does make me sad which is why I always like thinking about these other scenarios where he got a happy ending.

As long as Jonathan Frakes and Star Trek are still around, he could return.
