They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I thought rather than just describing your favorite particularly striking moment in Star Trek, if possible it'd be better to show it too.
As for what that means, just when were you watching an episode or movie for the first time, a moment that really made you go "whoa," or made you gasp, or perhaps just something dynamic or striking.
So mine would be the final shot of the DS9 Season 5 finale 'Call to Arms.'
Through the episode we're kinda led to believe Starfleet has pussied out on defending the station, and left Sisko and co no choice but to run away. The later we find out Starfleet was busy elsewhere, destroying Dominion Shipyards of Toros III. Then at the end of the episode the Defiant & Rotarran join up with said fleet to, as Nog puts it, "make the Dominion sorry they ever set foot in the Alpha Quadrant."
What was so cool about that moment for me is... every fan is a geek for the ships. They're things of beauty. But before this the most ships, "or fleet" we'd ever seen together on screen at one time was the Enterprise-D along with a Nebula, Ambassador and Constellation class in TNG: Redemption pt.II. And yes there was the kitbash fleet of Wolf 359 you can barely make out, and the battle of First Contact, but hey that was a movie, this was merely TV.
But yeah, before the days of the internet and spoilers, that ending was such a cool surprise. And just so awesome to see the new ships from First Contact in there, proof there was actually were other Defiant-class ships out there, and I always think it's cool to see the Klingons and Federation fighting side by side.
And in video for the sake of it. As I love the music-

Of course, the next time we said fleet at the start of Season 6 their "ass kicking" mission hasn't actually gone that well. But still.
So that's mine, be interesting for others to share. www.trekcore.com is always a great source for screencaps by the way.
(I'm curious to see how long it takes for Seven of Nine in her silver catsuit
