Spoilers Stranger Things - Season 5

Curious choice. I wonder if they'll bother explaining why we don't see her the subsequent seasons or if they'll lean into the idea that this show is a separate continuity. I don't think they're going to do the latter based on the showrunners' past comments about making sure this show fits in nicely between seasons.

I'm guessing the answer to that is already in the description. Transfer student comes in for one story and then transfers out again when it's over is a pretty common story setup for tv. Especially 'tough kids' who are often portrayed as from families that move around a lot.

That kind of setup for a "major" character is really difficult to make them memorable when the story is so heavily hemmed in by the rest of the narrative.

i can imagine if they announce many live action spinoffs via sequels to the original series

like a stranger things spinoff set in the 90s with new characters in a new town like in texas and another stranger things spinoff set in the 2000s also with new characters which would be also in a new town like in new york state

a spinoff staring holly and her friends where they meet a new eleven and there town is once again attacked but this time by the rightside up

It was announced this morning that Arrow Video got the license to release Stranger Things on 4K and Blu-ray. The complete series set comes out this summer!

Already preordered my copy. Definitely a bit pricey, but I went with the Blu-ray set without the swag to save a few shekels.

Off-topic, but today I learned that—except for Wicked (probably because they've been trying to get it filmed for years)—a bunch of Broadway shows have had videos recorded by different casts and performers who ran for years. I really hope Sadie Sink's version of Romeo and Juliet and Rachel Zegler's version of Evita get recorded too. And I also hope Melissa Barrera's run in the parody musical Titanique gets captured on video.

Yeah, there are getting to be quite a few recordings of Broadways shows getting released, I believe Hamiliton even got a theatrical release. There's also Oklahoma with Hugh Jackman, the big 25th Anniversary Phantom of the Opera performance, Into the Woods, and I just stumbled across a Cats performance on Amazon a couple weeks ago. I've seen Hamilton, Phantom, and Into the Woods and they're all fantastic.

I was actually talking about the versions on YouTube as well. Most of the plays you mentioned have been filmed by different casts in theater venues or schools in the UK and then uploaded to YouTube. In my opinion, it would make much more sense for the official Broadway productions to be uploaded to YouTube by Broadway itself — with subtitles enabled, of course (after their theatrical/cinema runs, naturally). This obviously doesn’t apply to special cases like Hamilton or Stranger Things: The First Shadow.

By the way, Evita isn't on Broadway; it's being performed in England (the UK/West End). I hope they give us the chance to watch that version too.

No, I'm talking about the big Broadway and in Phantom's case the Royal Albert Hall productions.

Looks like a lot of fun! And it's just right around the corner: April 23!

I wonder if the box set will contain the secret final episode. ;)

I watched the first season of the animation, it was good. They made the animation show like any season of the original show.
