Kirk is probably somewhat infamous for the whole Genesis debacle, but also for saving the Federation at least three times in his later career. But also for his contacts with the Romulans, Klingons, and Gorn. Perhaps even other incidents like the M-5 Disaster and the loss of USS Constellation and Matt Decker.
I love Lower Decks. And I love SNW. I love them both, just not sure I love them together. I need to watch it again on a bigger screen before I decide. I did LOVE the opening credits though.Pretty much my impression too on this one. I can't get into the LD characters or their humour, and this episode didn't change my mind sadly. There were bits I definitely liked, such as the conversation about birthdays. And the chat Boimler had with Ortegas and Chapel in the mess hall was cute, but for the most part this ep didn't click with me. The two shows are too far apart tonally and visually for it to gel together.
I didn't exactly dislike it, but it was... something, yeah.
Well it went about the way I expected....a bit too silly for my tastes. I never really was a big fan of too much comedy in Star Trek. Not much more to say. Everyone has covered everything already...lol. Solid 5...
So far this season has been a bit of a disappointment for me compared to last season....oh well...![]()
Yeah I know. lol Saw the trailer. There's a musical episode coming up!
When it was just Boimler and Mariner, the interactions definitely felt and sounded a lot more like their animated variants. The Spock stuff was kind of weird and out of nowhere.
I’ve seen some people criticizing their behavior in comparisons to the officers in Trials and Tribble-ations, but the HUGE difference is that in Trials they were trying to maintain a cover, and in this episode the Enterprise crew knew Boimler was from the future right away.
The context is very different.
Lost her licence? She's a nurse in both series.how M'Benga got demoted and Chapel lost her doctor's license.
And, yeah, Starfleet uses propagana-era recruitment posters... Right.
If they tell the DTI that is. The trailer implies that they are not allowed to talk about the “Pike incident”I really hope that next season of Lower Decks opens with them being interrogated by DTI agents over this incident.
There was an exiled Cardassian living on Vulcan in this time according to DS9.Uhura’s Datapad had CARDASSIA and Bajor on it. I don’t think Starfleet knows about those planets at this time.
