^That doesn't really gauge how famous or important the historical figure is, or how well revered the person is.Tolian Soran and Nero boasted knowing about the famous James T. Kirk before beating him up (in the latter case beating up Kelvin Kirk). Just a few weeks ago an undercover Romulan made a similar boast before outright killing an alternate timeline Kirk. None of these people were in Starfleet or even connected to Starfleet other than in said confrontations.
No.
Dax was geeking out about Spock, who was still a living legend in their era, and Sisko didn't really say much beyond "it was a honor...". And remember, Miles and Bashir couldn't remember what Kirk looked like, when Boimler recognized Pike instantly.

Yeah that really worked for me too, the SNW Enterprise looks good with a toon shader put on it.I did lime the animated version of the title sequence, though.
SDCC is on at the moment. They probably aired it there and released it early to avoid spoilers. So are we still getting an episode on Thursday or are we skipping a week now?
her being an augment wasn't publicly disclosed.Una is used for Starfleet recruitment despite being an augment, yet Prodigy shows that at the time of said poster augments still aren't allowed in Starfleet. Hypocritical much?
Refresh my memory. I seem to remember Dax crushing on Spock and Bones, but I don't recall her saying anything about Kirk. She mostly geeked out on the tech and look of the era.Dax geeked out over Kirk, Spock AND McCoy (McCoy on a more personal level) but managed to still act like a professional, realistic, believable person and not like, well, a cartoon character.

I am just so happy at the amount of people who are angry at this episode, simply because it means it is going to be living rent free in their head because they're powerless to change a single bit.

But again, she had many lifetimes worth of experience, while Boimler barely lived 20 years....
