I recently watched everything from "Rose" to "The big bang".
Keys.. is something of an odd one out. Many fans dislike it, but I am partial to it at times. It does have a real epic feel to it, and the way the quest for the keys is spread across whole different areas is practically a blueprint for The Key to Time quest that Tom Baker would later undertake (another story-arc that many fans like to hate). Oh and I agree with you on Susan - she always annoyed the crap out of me.
Did you really have to review the best story ever with reference to complete rubbish?I've seen "The Caves of Androzani" and while it's not without its cheesy, unconvincing moments (like that shoehorned in dragon monster and the main villain killing a rival by pushing him into a bad matte painting) it is a brilliant, brilliant story and not since "Children of Earth" have I seen a story steeped in so much banal evil and selfishness, and as with "The Parting of the Ways" just about everybody dies (squabbling over a resource that gets buried).
Has anyone else seen the special features? There's a standard "making of" one that's good, but also what seems to be a parody "making of." I didn't get about 99% of the jokes, but I guffawed at: "Rosalyn de Winter: Insect Movement" in the credits.
I think Frontier in Space still officially holds the record of the highest capture/story ratio. It'd be interesting to see if the capture/story ratio declined over the years.
Watched The Greatest Show in the Galaxy. Heh, it's great. One of the best McCoys. 4 stars, or even more.

What's Slipback like? Any good?
I just watched the Ghost Light...
OMG!! I was not impressed.. from the weird and silly haunted house effects, to the cheesy lightning, and the strange story.. it was just not a good episode..
There were times that i couldn't get what Ace and the Doc said to each other cause they were mumbling.. and then there was the light, which sounded like Stuart from MADTV... just awful...
I think that this serial doesn't deserve any thumbs up..nope, it just doesn't hit the mark..and as others have stated, it is not hard to see how the series was canceled..
It feels like the first draft of a very clever story. So I think it's fair to say that the people who love it fell in love with the idea, while the people who hate it can't see past the amateurish execution. They both have a point, but I definitely belong to the second group.I started watching Ghostlight about 18 months ago...I still have the third episode to go. I find it really, really bad--yet it might be the most polorising ep of Who ever because a lot of people really love it.
