First thing you want to do is join our custom fleet channel for global chat.

into the chatbox in game.

Not their best day to be sure, a long maintenance cycle in the morning and then crashing less than 2 hours later. It's annoying to me too, finally having time to play and this happens.

Correct. It is the same NPC Doff contact you find at the Starfleet Academy behind the personnel building.
Next up will be the Tellarite Personnel Officer and then the Vulcan one.
And then the only contacts at the Academy you can't reach from the starbase will be the Midterm Daily contact and the Veteran Dilithium Refiner contact.

I haven't played STO for ages, but I'm inspired to give it another go.

Is there much of a roleplaying community? I'm an amateur but I used to enjoy the occasional RP gathering when the game first launched.

The Spire is now at T3. Well done everyone.

Working on the unlocked Spire tailor project now, but that is also almost done already.

After that that really only leaves the main starbase with the last few Personnel projects and then it's just straight (long) leveling to T5.

Edit: Tailor project filled and cooldown running. it's available this time tomorrow.

I cleaned up the Armada roster a bit.
I removed a lot of characters from the fleet based on last log-in date, character/fleet rank and in some fringe cases contribution status to determine the activity status.

With the exception of some fleet veterans and founding characters, the sweep was pretty extensive. I would estimate arounfd 50-60 characters are gone.

If your character was among those and you want back in, just let us know here or in game.
Same if one of your characters was removed by mistake (I can't guarantee that I didn't misclick somewhere), in that case I apologize and please let us know for re-invite, too.

A small update from the House of TrekBBS;

The T3 starbase upgrade is finally running, just under 6 days until it completes.
We're still working towards the trade t2 upgrade on the mine, requires 333k dilithium and few commodities to complete.

I'm installing STO now. I won't be playing too often because I am working on my bachelors assignment. But I figured it would be nice to unwind with STO after a long day.

I mostly play solo, but i enjoy RP and being social. Are there any fleets that would suit me here?

Plus we have no politics and drama.

No one will ever demand X number of contributions and holding promotions hostage or charge you for access to fleet stores and other fun fleet policies like that.

I saw in the first post that the Klingon fleet isn't very populated. Is this still the case? I'd prefer to play on the klingon side, but if that side is too quiet fleet-wise I would rather create a new character and join the feds.

You can always join both if you have characters in each faction.
The more Klingons and KDF Roms are joining, the better for the KDF fleet.
