We have just built Shipyard I and several new projects have been unlocked, including the coveted "Upgrade Starbase I" project that will bring our starbase to operational status. We have also unlocked a project that will "Station a Tactical Officer" on our starbase who will supply the fleet with duty officer assignments as well as several military provisioning projects.
The short term goal is of course to get our starbase to tier 1. After that, I guess we'll be focusing our effort on bringing up our science department which unlocks the transwarp gate, and engineering department which unlocks the industrial fabricator.
Provisioning
As mentioned earlier, we have also unlocked several new provisioning projects. So what is Provisioning? We may have built a shipyard, but right now it is sitting empty. It does not have the materials required to build a new starship. We can run a provisioning project to supply the shipyard with enough materials to build 5 ships.
There are 3 types of provisioning projects we can run, namely Fleet Ship Provisioning, Operational Asset Provisioning and Buff Provisioning.
If you wish to buy a fleet ship, operational asset or buff, please drop a note in this thread so we can make arrangements to queue up the appropriate provisioning project for you. Also, please specify if the provisioning required is for the Federation Starbase or KDF Starbase.
Fleet Ship Provisioning
As its name implies, running a Fleet Ship Provisioning project will allow us to build 5 fleet ships. Once the Shipyard is provisioned, fleet members may use the shipyard to build up to 5 ships for a fee (See below). Currently our Shipyard is Tier 1 and is able to construct the following ships:
For 200,000 Fleet Credits you can build:
- Heavy Cruiser Retrofit (Stargazer class)
- Research Science Vessel Retrofit (Olympic class)
For 20,000 Fleet Credits and 4 Fleet Supply Modules you can build:
- Fleet Heavy Cruiser Retrofit (Stargazer class)
- Fleet Patrol Escort (Hermes class)
- Fleet Research Science Vessel Retrofit (Olympic class)
- Fleet Deep Space Science Vessel (Trident class)
Operational Asset Provisioning
Ever wish you can call in additional ships or additional manpower to help you out in the new fleet events? Now you can with Operational Assets. Operational Assets are an one-time only ability to call in support during the new fleet events. Each Operational Asset Provisioning Project allows fleet members to buy 10 operational assets. Operational Assets that we can currently call in include:
- Security Team
- Phaser Turret
- Peregrine Fighters
- Caitian Stalker Fighters
- Cruiser
- Starbase Spinal Lance
Buff Provisioning
Buffs provide a 4 hour increase to all your skills in one category. For example, a Fleet Military Skill Boost buff will grant a boost to all the following personal skills:
- Space Skills: Starship Attack Patterns, Starship Weapons Training, Starship Energy Weapons, Starship Projectile Weapons, Starship Maneuvers, Starship Targeting Systems, Starship Stealth, Starship Threat Control, Starship Energy Weapon Specialization, Starship Projectile Weapon Specialization
- Ground Skills: Grenades, Weapon Proficiency, Combat Specialist, PS Generator, Special Forces, Threat Control, Squad Command, Willpower, Advanced Tactics, Combat Armor
