Stephen King's Under the Dome - TV Series Discussion Thread

That's silly. I saw the dam busters, why drop a bomb, and risk striking the Dome at a bad angle when they should have just parked a few dozen trucks all around the dome with lots of maternal explosives packed inside?

Thank god superhunk firefighter husband has the non-exploding edition of a Windows tablet.

Yeah, definitely the strongest of the bunch. Also, that's a pretty gaping plot hole. So, residents aren't allowed to bring electronics close to the dome, but suddenly for convenient plot purposes, someone from the outside is able to bring their tablet up close. I'm not even sure if Airplane mode would make a difference either.

touching it seemed to be the real difference.

And borderline annoying product placement. Between the tablet and phones, they abused the Microsoft credit this week...

Ha, yeah I just had to roll my eyes at the blatant product placement in that scene.

In fact it's starting to get ridiculous that the only people I ever see using those damn Windows tablets are characters in TV shows! Lol

The town people are really stupid. I didn't see all that many of them - on either side of the dome - with paper and pens, or chalk and board etc.

Not sure how I feel about this. The underlying premise is certainly cool enough to support additional seasons, but so far the corny, soap opera writing makes it little more than just a fun guilty pleasure. And not something I'd really want to see get dragged out for more than a season.

so far the show has kept our interest. We have our dvr set to record it otherwise we probably wouldn't watch it as I couldn't even tell you what day it's on. For now it beats all the reality shows out there, but if I never saw another episode I wouldn't be upset either

Hey she only needs like one more credit before she's got her Master's in Radio Magic.

Anyhow thought that was a fairly weak episode. The Quest for Insulin was a snoozer. I just spent the whole episode wondering why an appliance company delivery truck is driving around this many days after the dome going up. Really? People are buying new dishwashers?
