Yep. There's a bit of crowing, but he is saying what needs to be said. Axanar has definitely poisoned the atmosphere and fans need to be reassured they're not dealing with those who got themselves in hot water with CBS.
I assume you don't mean Starship Exeter, since it hasn't filmed anything in almost a dozen years and the bridge built for it is at Starbase Studios and a thousand miles from the STC sets. It was a pleasure working on it in some small way.
Hmm. If they managed to reach $200,000 I wonder how far they could go with that. It would certainly allow them to complete Ep. 7, but would it also allow them to fully produce Eps. 8 and 9 and perhaps a good chunk of 10? If so then they might need only one more drive for the final stretch of three episodes (11-13).
I wouldn't expect $200,000 to take them significantly past 9. But maybe next time they raise funds the dust will have settled from the Axadent and they can get more support.
I try not to predict the future much, but I think it's too early to tell how this fundraiser will go. I really hope they raise the money they need to finish the series, but at this point I doubt it will happen. One thing I will predict, and stand behind literally a million percent, is that Lord Axahat & his loyal band of co-conspirators have permanently and irreparably damaged the fan film sub-genre. I say, a pox on his house. And his warehouse (not a studio).
Not necessarily. Once the dust settles and assuming sufficient time passes without CBS taking any further action against anyone else the state of things could return to much of what it was before Peters pissed in everyone's cereal.
So? What you stated is not true. If that's "helpful," good; if it's not, the statement is still not true.
"So?" Are you saying Farragut didn't decide to do a movie-era series, or didn't sell their interest to STC, and where is the evidence to the contrary?
And she doesn't know the details? You claim to have some knowledge, but so far all you've done is sit there and say "nope."
