STC Episode 7 (News and speculation)....

Just announced on their FB page. Guest star, Mary Czerwinski.

Never heard of her myself.

Looks like she's had very small, sometimes uncredited parts in TV and film over the past handful of years. This is a nice opportunity for her.

As a SAG-AFTRA New Media signatory, our SAG-AFTRA actors are compensated whatever they are able to negotiate with us. Some get food and/or lodging an/or travel expenses. Some (I don't think I'm revealing any big secrets when I identify George Takei by name) have been compensated substantially more. Some do it all out of the goodness of their hearts.

Interesting info that makes plenty of sense upon reflection. Thanks for sharing that. It was well worth it, as "World Enough and Time" remains NV's best work (in my personal opinion).

Please welcome John to the Star Trek Continues family!

^To be honest, I care less about who the guest stars are and more about what the story is going to be about. But that's my beef. I know others get more excited by the guest roaster.

Yeah, I know I feel the same way ... I'm just excited because John and Mary are friends of mine :)

Totally understandable. :) Speaking of "Mission Logs," I find myself more in agreement with John's analysis of episodes than with Ken's.

John seems like an agreeable bloke. I'm sure Ken's an agreeable bloke as well.

Chekov is a lieutenant in Star Trek: TMP, and became a commander during the time of Wrath of Khan

Fifteen-ish years as an ensign/lieutenant. Then he advances to commander within the next three. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about the naval career ladders on which Starfleet's system is based, I'm not sure if that's strange or not.

TMP is supposedly barely three years after the 5-year mission so Chekov being a Lieutenant in TMP works. TWOK is supposedly fifteen years since "Space Seed" (so about nine years or so after TMP) so for him to be a Commander by that time also works. And we have no way of knowing when he received his promotions during that period between TMP and TWOK.

I didn't realize TMP was so close chronologically to the original series. I'll buy all that then.

Could this be STC's own version of Xon?
Maybe, But then he looks distinctly older than the Xon character as envisioned for Phase II. And just because we never saw Xon realized onscreen I don't see any reason why he couldn't exist in the TOS universe.
