Status of the Series?

I am really staying spoiler free of the series itself.

Has Season 1 finished up? If so, is it picked up for Season 2? When will Season 2 air?

I am thinking of just signing up for the CBS All access, binge watch the show in a week, and then cancel (so of course, I don't want to cancel, with the "dang, I just canceled and the new season / new episode airs next week?

Any word when the series will be dropped onto Netflix or Hulu?

Thanks for the response.
Nathan

New season currently expected in 2019. No worries about a binge and cancel approach.

Unlikely to ever go to Netflix or Hulu in the US.

A week from Sunday (only two episodes left—this Sunday, 4 February and next, 11 February).

Where are you? Lots of countries already have it on Netflix.

Let's see...it airs on Sundays...two episodes to go...which means next sunday and the sunday after next sunday...sorry, too complicated, I can't figure that out

The following Sunday?

I'm in the US, I checked on Netlfix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime (have to pay extra if I want the CBS All Access.)
Looks like I will just have to wait 2 weeks then pay the few bucks for CBS All Access

You can get a free trial, so if you time it right, you won't have to pay at all. Not sure how long the current trial period is -- anyone know?

It won’t be on anything but cbsaa in the us for a long time

This article is a very interesting, albeit unsurprising read, assuming most of it's reasonably accurate, and I see no reason why it isn't.

The fact that they have not updated their copyright information since 2014 (takes like 10 seconds to do) would not seem to indicate that they are a quality joint.

They are declaring matter of fact that Discovery is the least watched Star Trek show ever, without any sort of access to hard date.

I'm not sure why people are saying Netflix funded Season 1. They paid for the licence to show. It's just the amount of money they made off that was enough for cover Season 1.

They probably made back the Season 1 cost through CBS all access subs and other sources as well.
