She says it all the time, she's too cheap to pay for a DVR when her VCR works fine. I can't say I could stand it myself, but it works for her.

^^ We got rid of our VCR when we got Sky+ about 5 years ago.

I'm just trying to remember how long ago I got my TiVo, I think it was sometime around 2002. Then got a Media Centre last year. I can't imagine TV without a DVR any more. I was so lost when my Tivo broke, I couldn't follow schedules and never kept track of when anything was on.
